Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data kesetimbangan uap-cair etanol(1) + eugenol(2) pada tekanan 600 mmHg dan memprediksi data kesetimbangan uap-cair untuk sistem biner etanol(1) + eugenol(2) dan 1-propanol(1) + eugenol(2) pada berbagai tekanan. Prediksi data kesetimbangan uap-cair dilakukan pada 3 tekanan berbeda, yaitu pada 300 mmHg, 600 mmHg, dan 760 mmHg. Peralatan eksperimen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah ebulliometer dan analisa yang digunakan Gas Chromatography (GC) untuk mendapatkan komposisi masing-masing komponen pada tiap-tiap fase. Data eksperimen dibandingkan dengan model prediksi menggunakan grup konstribusi model UNIFAC, memberikan AAD sebesar 6.8% untuk sistem etanol(1) + eugenol(2) pada tekanan 600 mmHg. Dari hasil prediksi menggunakan model UNIFAC pada berbagai tekanan didapatkan diagram kurva kesetimbangan T vs xy untuk mengetahui profil kesetimbangan uap-cair dari sistem biner etanol-eugenol dan 1-propanol(1) + eugenol(2).

The vapour-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data of binary ethanol(1) + eugenol(2) was measured at pressure of 600 mmHg and predict vapor-liquid equilibrium data for binary system ethanol(1) + eugenol(2) and 1-propanol(1) + eugenol(2) at various temperature. Predicted data of vapor-liquid equilibrium was done at 3 different pressures, ie at 300 mmHg, 600 mmHg, and 760 mmHg. The experimental equipment used in this research is ebulliometer and analysis used Gas Chromatography (GC) to obtain the compositions of each component. The experimental data were compare with predictive UNIFAC group contribution model as well giving AADs 6.8% for binary system ethanol + eugenol at pressure of 600 mmHg. From the prediction results using the UNIFAC model at various pressures we get the equilibrium diagram of T vs xy equilibrium to determine the vapor-liquid equilibrium profile of the binary system of ethanol(1) + eugenol(2) and 1-propanol(1) + eugenol(2).
