Abstract
Menjaga kelestarian alam merupakan kewajiban bagi semua manusia, hingga sektor industri. Adapun salah satu implementasi dari norma green pada bidang industri adalah dengan mengurangi sisa produksi dan penggunaan sumber daya alam dalam bentuk apapun. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penggunaan sumber daya alam yang bijak dengan cara meningkatkan efisiensi proses dengan meminimalisir bahan baku yang terbuang, energi dan meningkatkan laju produksi, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan advanced process control (APC). Adapun pada tugas akhir ini, mencoba meningkatkan efisiensi plant pemurnian gas alam di salah satu perusahaan gas alam di jawa timur, dengan memodelkan plant tersebut dalam bentuk simulasi dengan menerapkan metode APC pada simulasi di Aspen HYSYS 8.8 menggunakan realtime optimization derrivative optimizer. Penerapan APC yang dilakukan dengan menambahkan modul analyzer gas pada ketiga stream produk etana, propana dan butana, guna menjaga konsistensi komposisi porduk yang sudah ditetapkan. Adapun dampak penggunaan APC dibandingkan dengan metode kontrol existing pada plant, yaitu menghasilkan perubahan karakteristik respon komposisi yang dihasilkan berupa penurunan settling time pada deethanizer selama 83 menit, depropanizer selama 107 menit dan debuthanizer selama 132 menit. Untuk maximum overshoot terjadi penurunan pada deethanizer sebesar 0.66%, depropanizer sebesar 8.42%, debuthanizer sebesar 6.61%. Sehingga, pada laju produk terjadi peningkatan sebesar 1.47% pada etana, 1.03% propana dan 1.14% pada butana, serta penurunan penggunan energi sebanyak 545827 kj/h. Adapun dampak penerapan APC pada plant pemurnian gas alam di salah satu perusahaan gas alam di Jawa Timur dari aspek ekonomi yang dihasilkan, yaitu adanya penurunaan biaya dari penggunaan energi sebesar 5.22 USD/h dan peningkatan pendapatan dari laju produksi sebesar 632.65 USD/h, sehingga didapatkan profit sebesar 637 USD/h. ========== Preserving  nature  is  a  duty  to  all  human  beings, to  the  industrial sector. One of the implementation of the green norm in the industrial field  is  to  reduce  the  remaining  production  and  use  of  natural resources in any form. Therefore, it is necessary to use wise natural resources  by  increasing  process  efficiency  by  minimizing  waste, energy  and  increasing  production  rate,  one  of  them  is  by  using 
advanced process control (APC). In this final project, try to increase efficiency  of  natural  gas  purification  plant  in  one  of  natural  gas company in east java by m
odeling the plant in the form of simulation by  applying APC  method  to  simulation  in Aspen  HYSYS  8.8  using realtime  optimization  derrivative  optimizer.  APC  application  is 
carried out by adding gas analyzer modules to the three streams of ethane,  propane  and buthane  products,  in  order  to  maintain consistency of established powder compositions. The impact of APC usage compared with the existing control method in the plant, which resulted  in  changes  in  the  composition  response  characteristics 
resulting  in  decreasing settling  time  on  the  deethanizer  for  83 minutes,  depropanizer  for  107  minutes  and  debutant  for  132 minutes.  For  maximum  overshoot  there  was  a  decrease  in  the deethanizer  by  0.66%,  depositories  by  8.42%,  debutant  of  6.61%. 
Thus,  at  a  product  rate  an  increase  of  1.47%  in  ethane,  1.03% propane and 1.14% in butane, as well as a decrease in energy use by  545827  kj/h.  The  impact  of  APC  application  on  natural  gas purification plant in one of natural gas company in East Java from economic  aspect  that  resulted  from the  cost  reduction  of  energy 
usage of 5.22 USD/h and the increase of income from the production rate of 632.65 USD/h, profit of 637 USD/h
