Abstract

============== Photovoltaics produce peak power (Wp) at a certain voltage, Each cell in a photovoltaic has similar performance, but in the manufacturing process, there is a possibility of cell defects in the photovoltaic module that affecting the photovoltaic peak power. In this final project, a test is conducted to find out what is true at the peak power of the photovoltaic being tested. The test is done indoors using a solar Sun-Simulator obtained ideal near conditions, free from fluctuating weather conditions and can be done anytime. In the reference photovoltaic module and test module obtained 0.775 Ampere and Vmpp impedance of 16.3 Volts, In photovoltaic module test, through indoor testing with radiation using Sun-Simulator obtained by Impression 1.72 Ampere and Vmpp of 16.8 Volt. Maximum Power (Maximum Power) of a reference module and test module after tested with a sun simulator of 12, 635 watts and 28, 9 watts. The actual power of the module tested by comparing with the maximum power of the reference module yields 121.79 Watts. The existing power value is different from the power available in the equipment specification, which is 100 Watts. That is to say, with the correct test of the power of the photovoltaic module to be tested.
