Abstract

tinggi pula nilai tegangan geser dasarnya.
gelombang (nilai α semakin kecil), semakin tinggi pula nilai net transportasi sedimen
bedloadnya.

The asymmetry in the waves make shear stress become higher, so sediment transport rate will
also increase. Suntoyo et al. (2008) has observed in his journal wave asymmetry effects on
the shear stress and the rate of sediment transport on bed load sediment transport, but it
doesn’t clearly show how its effects for suspended sediment transport (suspended load), so
the title was lifted for better analysis of the effects of nonlinearities on waves on sediment
transport, especially in the suspended load. From the early analysis, resulting conclusion that
the smaller α, make a higher the shear stress. This happens because there is a phase difference
due to acceleration, so that the wave skew as shear stress increases. On the net bed load
sediment transport, the more wave skewed (the smaller α), net bed load sediment transport
become higher. The suspended load is higher than bed load. Net sediment transport bed load
and suspended sediment transport net load a different direction. Bed load leads to onshore,
and suspended load leads to more offshore. Increasingly waves skewed, then the load of
suspended sediment transport towards onshore. Sediment transport in wave skew leads to
offshore because there are different phases, and to the onshore when asymmetries increase.
