Abstract

Produksi bahan bakar cair dari limbah plastik polipropilena dengan ko-reaktan biodiesel dari minyak biji nyamplung (Calophyllum Inophylum) menggunakan metode konversi katalitik telah berhasil dilakukan. Variasi feedstock yang digunakan adalah 100 % (P) : 0 % (N) hingga 40 % (P) : 60 % (N) (v : v). Katalis Al-MCM-41 : Keramik (7:3, b/b) digunakan dan dikarakterisasi dengan XRD, SEM, dan Adsorpsi – Desorpsi N2. Pada penelitian ini penambahan jumlah ko-reaktan pada feedstock mampu mempengaruhi % yield dan krakteristik fisik produk bahan bakar cair yang dihasilkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa % yield terbesar diperoleh dari variasi feedstock 80 % (P) : 20 % (N) sejumlah 85 mL dengan jumlah % fraksi < C7 sebesar 6.97 %, C7 – C12 sebesar 54,27 %, > C12 sebesar 0,28 % serta data karakterisasi fisik berupa densitas sebesar 0,729 g/cm3, titik nyala 7,1 °C dan nilai kalor sebesar 59,19 MJ/Kg serta dari seluruh bahan bakar cair yang diproduksi memenuhi Standar ASTM Gasoline.

Production of liquid fuel from polypropylene plastic waste with co-reactan biodiesel from nyamplung oil (Calophyllum Inophyllum) by catalitic convertion has been successfully performed. Feedstock variations used are 100 % (P) : 0 % (N), 80 % (P) : 20 % (N), 60 % (P) : 40 % (N), 50 % (P) : 50 % (N), and 40 % (P) : 60 % (N) (v : v). Amount of co-reactants can affect the yield% and physical characteristics of liquid fuel products that produced. Results showed that the largest percentage of yield was obtained from the variation of feedstock 80 % (P) : 20 % (N) is 85 mL with the amount of % fraction <C7 is 6,97 %, C7 - C12 is 54,27 %, and > C12 is 0,28 % and physical characterization data of density 0,729 g/cm3, flash point 7,1 ° C and heat value 59,19 MJ/Kg. All liquid fuels that produced have fulfill the ASTM Standards Gasoline except, flash point parameter.
