Abstract

Kecelakaan berkendara menyebabkan banyak kerugian bahkan korban jiwa.
================ Driving accidents cause many losses and even casualties. Accidents often occur because the driver is less concentrated, careless, or drowsy in keeping a safe distance with the vehicle in front of it so unable to stop when the vehicle in front of him experienced a change of speed or braked suddenly. In this research, the design and realization of a tool that can measure the distance of the vehicle in front and detect the speed change. The system can also provide early warning if in front of obstacles or other vehicles that stop suddenly so avoid the collision. To maintain a safe distance automatically, the system is equipped with microwave sensors HB100 10,525 GHz frequency that can measure changes in the speed of the object by using the principle of doppler effect. The measurement also uses SR04 ultrasonic sensors that can be used to measure the distance to the object in front of it up to 2 meters with the biggest error% 0.1%. The Intermediate Frequency signal conditioner of the HB100 sensor consists of a preamp circuit, and a band pass filter of 12500 × in the band 1 to 100 Hz.The change in object velocity due to sudden braking can result in a change of doppler frequency at the receiver corresponding to its velocity of 0 Hz at rest and increasing by about 7 Hz per 0.1 m / s. These frequency changes are then digitally processed using the arduino due to use the frequency counter microcontroller. Then the microcontroller will give a warning in the form of LEDs and buzzers or even actuators to brake automatically when the safe distance is too close. Motor braking is done with a proportional control that regulates the magnitude of PWM on the dc motor so that the motor can stop without crashing the object in front.
