Abstract
========== Non
-linier loads in power distribution system cause harmonic phenomenon. Harmonic spread widely in power distribution system and make non sinusoidal current and voltage waveform. This condition distrubs electrical equipment performance. For that reason, power
distribution system needs harmonic phenomenon monitoring so the value is agree with harmonic standard. The goal is to keep power quality in power system. The study that helps to estimate harmonic value is using Harmonic State Estimation. In this thesis using backward-forward sweep power flow in balanced radial power distribution system (B
alanced RDS) and Harmonic Load Flow (HLF) are used as measurement data to solve Harmonic State Eestimation (HSE)
equation. This method produces harmonic estimated value and
observability test to identify a system. The result of HSE is implemented in Geographic Information System (GIS) Smallworld PLN East Java Distribution Area. According to the result of simulation and analysis, SVD method
can estimate harmonic value with 0.05% small error. This method shows that Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) can reduced and the observability of system can examined. So, this method is suitable for helping power distribution system monitoring based on GIS.
