Abstract

=============== Bungee cord UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) launcher is a type of launcher that works by utilizing a rubber cord (bungee cord) as a power source to accelerate the initial speed of the UAV at take off. The UAV will be placed on a stand on a special thrower frame which will be drawn with a bungee cord like a catapult.
The purpose of the use of a muscular UAV launcher is that UAV launches can be performed with a more accurate, faster, and more secure process than using a manual launcher. The bungee cord automatic UAV launcher will be equipped with automatic bungee cord drawing feature, load tension calculation feature on bungee cord, launch corner calculation feature, and electronic trigger system. The system uses several components such as DC motor, loadcell sensor, MPU6050 sensor, and pneumatic cylinder.
Several tests have been performed, with test results on a DC motor can be used to pull and strain the bungee cord. The load cell sensor can read the load tension on the cord with an error value of 0.021%. The MPU6050 sensor can read the launch angle with an accuracy of 98.97%, thus avoiding overshoot or undershoot when UAV takes off. Pneumatic cylinder able to pull safety pin as trigger UAV launcher which controlled electronically. Three push bottons are set up for this tool to work automatically to prepare take off on a certain tension with an average accuracy of 99.8%.
