Abstract
Saat ini penerapan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) di institusi
Pendidikan (Perguruan Tinggi atau sekolah), sudah menjadi keharusan walaupun
tidak ada yang mewajibkan, karena penerapan TIK dapat menjadi salah satu
indicator keberhasilan suatu institusi pendidikan. E-learning adalah salah satu
teknologi yang saat ini paling banyak digunakan di Indonesia. Penggunaan elearning
saat ini dsebabkan oleh kesulitan yang dialami oleh para siswa dalam
proses belajar, diantaranya adalah ketidakmampuan untuk memahami secara
langsung materi yang disampaikan di kelas, kurang beragamnya contoh kasus dan
soal, kurangnya waktu untuk berdiskusi dengan dosen, dan sebagainya. Namun
ditemukan permasalahan bahwa pada penerapannya khususnya dalam pengamatan
kali ini pada Magister Manajemen Teknologi masih belum memanfaatkan fasilitas
e-learning yang telah disediakan
Berdasarkan identifikasi masalah diatas, maka penulis membatasi
permasalahan yang akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini yaitu penerapan sistem elearning
di Magister Manajemen Teknologi dengan Kepala Program Studi sebagai
pemangku kepentingan sehingga membutuhkan pendekatan khusus seperti metode
elisitasi untuk menganalisa kebutuhan dan selanjutnya dilakukan tahap analisis dan
perancangan dan menghasilkan sistem yang sesuai untuk digunakan pada Magister
Manajemen Teknologi berdasarkan perbandingan kebutuhan dengan sistem yang
telah ada seperti Edmodo, Moodle dan Google Classroom.Analisis ini dapat
dijadikan sebagai rekomendasi pada pihak manajemen MMT-ITS untuk
mengetahui e-learning bagaimanakan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa.
Analisis ini dapat pula diterapkan pada institusi pendidikan lain dengan melihat
budaya dan permasalahan yang terjadi di institusi pendidikan yang lainnya. ========== Currently the application of Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) in Educational institutions (Higher Education or school), has become
mandatory although no one obliges, because the application of ICT can be one
indicator of success of an educational institution. E-learning is one of the most
widely used technologies in Indonesia. The use of e-learning today is caused by the
difficulties experienced by the students in the learning process, among them the
inability to understand directly the material presented in the classroom, the lack of
varied examples of cases and problems, the lack of time to discuss with lecturers,
and so forth. But found the problem that the application, especially in this
observation on the Master of Technology Management is still not utilize e-learning
facilities that have been provided.
Recently the application of Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) in educational institution (college and school) automatically has become a
mandatory needs even though it is not obliged by the authorities as the application
of ICT can be one of indicators of educational institution success. The needs of
effective and interactive learning concepts based on information and
communication technology can be overcome with the use of Web-based ELearning,
therefore students can study anytime and anywhere without being limited
by space and time. Based on the identification of the problems mentioned above,
the authors limit the problem to be discussed in this research into the
implementation of e-learning system in Master of Technology Management with
the Head of Study Program as a stakeholder thus it require special approaches such
as elicitation method to analyze the needs and performed the analysis and design
phase afterwards to produce a suitable system which can be used in Master of
Technology Management of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember based on the
comparison of needs with existing systems such as Edmodo, Moodle and Google
Classroom.
