Abstract
Surabaya merupakan kota terbesar kedua di Indonesia yang memiliki masalah besar berupa kemacetan. Banyak kota-kota besar di dunia yang mulai bergerak mengadopsi konsep kota pintar (Smart City) untuk menyelesaikan masalah di kotanya masing-masing. Salah satu teknologi yang ditawarkan dalam konsep smart city adalah Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) sebagai solusi permasalahan transportasi. Surabaya saat ini sedang berusaha menjadi kota berbasis smart city dan merealisasikan Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) sebagai solusi untuk pengembangan transportasi di Surabaya. Untuk mewujudkan manajemen armada yang bekerja dengan baik, setiap armada masing-masing akan dipasangkan On-Board Unit (OBU). Data yang diperoleh dari OBU akan diteruskan melalui jaringan wireless lalu ditampung pada database server.
Pada pengerjaan tugas akhir, untuk membuat protokol komunikasi pada OBU dilakukan dua tahap pada proses desain dan implementasi. Yang pertama adalah membuat desain rancangan protokol komunikasi OBU menggunakan MQTT protokol untuk bertukar informasi data GPS dan RFID. Kedua, implementasi QoS 0 untuk proses pengiriman data GPS, dan QoS 1 untuk pengiriman data RFID.
Pengujian protokol komunikasi OBU dilakukan dengan pengujian pada prototype yang sudah dapat mengirim data GPS, dan RFID. Untuk pengujian jaringan, didapat nilai Throughput terbesar pada 370 bps, Packet Loss sebesar 0%, dan Delay terkecil 408,623 ms. ================== Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia that has a big problem in the form of a traffic jam. Many major cities in the world are beginning to move to adopt the concept of smart city to solved problems in their respective city. One of the technologies offered in smart city concept is Intelligent Transportation System as the solution to the transportation problem. Surabaya is currently trying to become a city based smart city and realized Intelligent Transportation System as a solution for the development of transportation in Surabaya. To realized fleet management that works well, each fleet will be paired with On-Board-Units. Data obtained from the OBU will be forwarded through a wireless network and then accommodated on the database server.
In this final project, to make the communication protocol on OBU carried out two stages in the process of design and implementation. The first is to design OBU communication protocol using MQTT protocol to exchange information of GPS and RFID data. Second, QoS 0 implementation for GPS data transmission process, and QoS 1 for RFID data transmission.
OBU communication protocol testing is done by testing on a prototype that can already send GPS data, and RFID. For network testing, the greatest throughput is obtained at 370 bps, Packet Loss by 0%, and the smallest Delay 408,623 ms.
