Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan aktivitas pereduksi Na2S2O3; Na2SO3 dan NH2OH.HCl. Variabel yang di variasi adalah pH buffer asetat optimum, waktu pembentukan kompleks optimum, dan konsentrasi pereduksi optimum dalam penentuan kadar besi (Fe). Penentuan kadar besi total dilakukan dengan Spektrofotometer UV-VIS. Panjang gelombang maksimum Fe(II)-Fenantrolin dengan pereduksi Na2S2O3; Na2SO3 dan NH2OH.HCl diperoleh sebesar 510 nm. Selanjutnya optimasi pH buffer suasana asam diperoleh pH 4,5 untuk pereduksi Na2S2O3 dan NH2OH.HCl serta pH 4 untuk Na2SO3. Waktu optimum pembentukan kompleks yaitu 15 menit untuk Na2S2O3 dan NH2OH.HCl serta 30 menit untuk Na2SO3. Selain itu, dilakukan penentuan konsentrasi optimum pereduksi dan dihasilkan 11 ppm pereduksi Na2S2O3; 60 ppm pereduksi Na2SO3; dan 7 ppm pereduksi NH2OH.HCl untuk mereduksi 5 ppm larutan Fe3+. Tingkat akurasi suatu metode dapat dilihat dari %Recovery. %Recovery dari pereduksi Na2S2O3; Na2SO3 dan NH2OH.HCl secara berturut-turut sebesar 102,81%; 84,08% dan 116,71% pada saat kondisi pH buffer asetat optimum, waktu pembentukan kompleks optimum, dan konsentrasi pereduksi optimum. ================== In this research, the activities of Na2S2O3; Na2SO3; and NH2OH.HCl reductor were compared. Variable variation were optimum pH, time of complex formation and optimum concentration of reductor in iron (Fe) analysis. Determination of total iron in solution was carried out using UV-VIS Spectrophotometer. The maximum wavelength of Fe(II)-Phenantroline with Na2S2O3; Na2SO3 and NH2OH.HCl reductor were obtained at 510 nm. Optimization of buffer pH in acidic conditions was pH 4.5 for Na2S2O3 and NH2OH.HCl, pH 4 for Na2SO3. The optimum reaction time of complex formation was 15 minutes for Na2S2O3 and NH2OH.HCl, 30 minutes for Na2SO3. Determination of optimum concentration was 11 ppm for Na2S2O3; 60 ppm for Na2SO3; and 7 ppm for NH2OH.HCl to reduce 5 ppm of Fe3+. The accuracy level of the method can be seen from %Recovery. % Recovery from Na2S2O3; Na2SO3 and NH2OH.HCl were 102,81%; 84,08% and 116,71% at optimum pH, time of complex formation and optimum concentration for reductor.
