Abstract
Keamanan data sudah menjadi hal yang penting dan dibutuhkan. Terdapat berbagai cara untuk menjaga keamanan data. Salah satunya yaitu steganografi. Steganografi merupakan cara untuk menyembunyikan pesan rahasia ke dalam media tertentu. Berbagai macam metode yang digunakan untuk steganografi tersebut, salah satunya adalah Least Significant Digit (LSD). LSD merupakan perkembangan dari Least Significant Bit (LSB) yang bersifat reversible. Jadi stego-file dapat dikembalikan lagi menjadi berkas payload dan audio original seperti semula.
Pada Tugas Akhir kali ini akan dilakukan pengembangkan metode LSD. Pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan media audio. Tahapan yang dilakukan ada 2 yaitu tahap penyisipan yang dimulai dari mencari pivoting point, segmentasi payload, reduce payload, penyisipan, smoothing. Serta tahap ekstraksi yang dimulai dari mencari pivoting point, smoothing, pengembalian payload, reduce payload, rekonstruksi payload. Hasil dari uji coba yang dilakukan didapatkan adanya peningkatan kapasitas audio dan peningkatan kualitas stego-audio.

Data security has become important and necessary. There are various ways to maintain data security. One of them is steganography. Steganography is a way to hide a secret message into certain media. There are various methods used for the steganography, one of them is Least Significant Digit (LSD). LSD is the development method from least significant bits (LSB) which are reversible. Thus, the stego-file can be restored again into payload file and original audio as before.
In this final project, LSD method will be developed. The development is done by using audio media. There are two stages in this development. The first stage is inserting stage which starts from looking for pivoting point, segmenting payload, reducing payload, inserting, and smoothing. The second stage is extracting stage which starts from looking for pivoting point, smoothing, returning payload, reducing payload, reconstructing payload. The result of this experiment shows an improvement in audio capacity and stego-audio quality.
