Abstract
Salah satu aplikasi bisnis yang begitu pesat perkembangannya saat ini yaitu Odoo merupakan aplikasi ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) dan program bisnis modern yang didistribusikan secara open source di mana terdapat berbagai modules/features di dalamnya mulai dari CRM, Manajemen Proyek, Manajemen Gudang, Manufaktur, Keuangan dan Akuntansi, Sumber Daya Manusia serta fitur-fitur lainnya. Odoo dibangun menggunakan teknologi OpenObject framework yang memiliki kekuatan arsitektur dari MVC (Model View Controller), workflow proses yang fleksibel, GUI yang dinamis, sebuah antarmuka XML-RPC dan sistem yang dapat disesuaikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelaporan organisasi. Odoo adalah aplikasi web yang dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python, XML, dan JavaScript dengan menggunakan PostgreSQL sebagai sistem manajemen basis datanya. Seiring perkembangannya yang pesat, Odoo terus meningkatkan performa platform aplikasi mereka. Sehingga, sampai dengan dewasa ini semenjak aplikasi tersebut didirikan telah melakukan upgrade hingga versi 11 yang diluncurkan dan diperkenalkan pada Oktober 2017. Dengan sistem aplikasi yang besar, hal ini membuat beberapa pihak yang akan melakukan implementasi dan pengembangan pada modul Odoo mengalami kesulitan. Salah satunya disebabakan karena masih kurangnya sumber daya dokumentasi yang tersedia, dimana beberapa informasi function/method terkait pemetaan model data pada Odoo belum digambarkan secara jelas di dalam dokumentasi websitenya. Oleh karena itu, tidak jarang penulis menemukan beberapa error masih sering terjadi akibat kesalahan integrasi pada data model khususnya dikalangan akademisi (mahasiswa) yang akan melakukan implementasi Odoo. Berdasarkan analisis permasalahan tersebut, maka dalam penelitian tugas akhir ini dibuat suatu dokumentasi data model pada Odoo sebagai salah satu open source ERP platform yang memiliki fleksibilitas serta dukungan berbagai komunitas yang dinamis. Dan juga dengan beberapa pertimbangan yang dilakukan, penulis membatasi penelitian tugas akhir ini pada Odoo versi 10 yang dirasa cukup stabil jika dibandingkan dengan versi terbaru saat ini. Harapannya penelitian tugas akhir ini, dapat memudahkan dalam menangani permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada terlebih pada permasalahan integrasi model data yang masih sering terjadi. ===================================================================================================
One of the most rapidly evolving business aplication today is Odoo is an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) application and a modern business program that is distributed open source where thera are various modules/features in it from CRM, Project Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacture, Accounting and Finance, Human Resource, and other features. Odoo is built using OpenObject framework technology that has the architectural strength of MVC (Model View Controller), flexible process workflow, dinamic GUI, an XML-RPC interface and a customizable system according to organization's reporting needs. Odoo is a web application built using Phyton, XML, and Javascript programming languages using PostgreSQL as its database management system. Along with the rapid development, Odoo continues to improve the performance of their application platform so up to nowadays, since the application was established has upgraded to version 11 which was launched and introduced in October 2017. With a large application system, this makes some parties who will do the implementation and development of the Odoo modules has difficult. One reason is that there is still the lack of available documentation resources, where some of the functions/methods information related to the mapping of the data model on Odoo has not been clearly described in the website documentation. Therefore, not infrequently the author find some errors are still common due to integration errors in the data model, especially among academics (students) who will implement the Odoo. Based on the analysis of the problem, in this final project research is made a data model documentation of Odoo as one of the open source ERP platform that has the flexibility and support of various dynamic communities. And also with some considerations, the authors limit the research of this final project on Odoo version 10 which is considered quite stable when compared with the latest version. The hope of this final project research, can facilitate in dealing with problems that exist, especially on the problem of integration of data models that are still common.
