Abstract

SPAR (Single Point Anchor Reservoir) merupakan struktur terapung berbentuk slinder yang menjadi alternatif dalam proses laut dalam. dalam perkembanganya hull SPAR dipasang helical strakes untuk mengurangi gaya gelombang dan arus. Pada Tugas Akhir ini membahas olah gerak bangunana SPAR dengan helical strakes dalam kondisi terapung bebas dan tertambat serta tegangan tali tambat SPAR. Olah gerak dan tegangan tali SPAR dianalisa dengan metode numeris dan eksperimen di laboratorium Hidrodinamika FTK ITS. Variasi konfigurasi tali tambat ditinjau untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari perbedaan konfigurasi tali tambat terhadap respon gerakan dan tegangan. RAO (Response Amplitude Operator) kondisi tertambat mengalami perubahan yang signifikan baik dari gerakan surge, heave maupun pitch. Konfigurasi tali tambat dengan taut mooring memiliki RAO yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan catenary mooring. Tegangan tali dengan konfigurasi taut mooring lebih besar dibandingkan dengan catenary mooring. Terdapat penurunan frekuensi alami dari SPAR pada perbandinagn taut mooring dengan catenary mooring sebesar 0,3246 rad/s menjadi 0,2688 rad/s.

SPAR (Single Point Anchor Reservoir) is a slinder floating structure that becomes an alternative in deep sea process. In its development the SPAR hull mounted helical strakes to reduce wave and current forces. In this Final Project discusses response SPAR with helical strakes in free floating and moored conditions and mooring tension. Motion and mooring dynamic are studied in numerical and experiment method. Experiment is conducted in Hydrodynamic Laboratory of FTK ITS. Variations of mooring configuration to determine the effect of motion and mooring tension SPAR. RAO (Response Amplitude Operator) taut condition has significant change from either surge, heave or pitch motion. Taut mooring configuration has a smaller RAO compared to catenary mooring. mooring tension with taut configuration is greater than catenary mooring. There is a decrease in the natural frequency of SPAR on the taut mooring to catenary mooring of 0.3246 rad/s to 0.2688 rad/s.
