Abstract

The field "CVN" is a development field that located in Central Sumatera Basin. Along with that, methods are needed that enhance the economic value of this field. The suitable method for characterizing reservoir is acoustic impedance invesion (AI) and multiattribute seismic. Both methods are capable for enhancing the imaging resolution of subsurface structures from seismic data. The target formation Bekasap-Bangko in this field is shaly sand whose the value of acoustic impedance is overlap between sand and shale. In this research, the estimated value of sandstone acoustic impedance in field "CVN" is 17.000 ft/s*g/cc - 19.500 ft/s*g/cc. From the multiattribute seismic method, the estimated value of the sandstone porosity in Field "CVN" is 13 -20% and the estimated cutoff volume shale is 0.70 v/v. The methodology used in this research includes data collection, well-seismic tie, picking horizon and fault, time structure map creation, crossplot analysis, initial modeling, acoustic impedance inversion analysis and seismic multiattribute. The spread trend direction of the hydrocarbon reservoir zone is south west-north east and gathered at the center of the closure.
