Abstract

VANET is a network that consists of a network node secular has limited movement patterns and high speed. Due to its dynamic nature, it is often damaged. Therefore it requires good routing protocol. One of the routing protocols is AODV. Unfortunately the AODV damaged route is retrieving the route, the delay process occurs. To overcome this delay the paper was made. In this paper modifications are made at the route search stage by creating an alternative path. Alternate paths are created by providing a double-knot chance for RREQ. So that formed two different paths each node. From the trial results, PDR increased by 7.25%, E2E decreased by 56.5%, and packet loss decreased by 49.5% of pure AODV. However there is still a weakness in overhead routing that increases by 4% and RREQ F rises by 12% from pure AODV.
