Abstract
======================================================================================================
In the ship design process WISE is very concerned about the drag and lifting force that occurs when the ship drove in ground effect mode. One way to reduce the WISE ship's drag is by increasing the wing ratio and modifying the winglet value. To prove this matter, in this final project, research is done in the form of Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulation by comparing wing with low ratio aspect AR = 1 with medium ratio aspect AR = 3 and varying cant angle on winglet. The result of the simulated aspect ratio shows the value of different drag and lift styles at each speed variation. The WISE vessel with moderate aspect ratio AR = 3 has a smaller drag resistance value compared to the WISE vessel with low ratio aspect AR = 1. The WISE vessel with a moderate aspect ratio of AR = 3 has a greater lift lift value compared to the WISE vessel with low ratio aspect AR = 1. The simulation results performed on the angle variations of WISE ship canting winglet show the value of different drag and lift styles in each angle variation. The WISE vessel with the angle cant winglet α = 45 ° has a smaller drag force compared to the cant winglet angle α = 30 ° and α = 60 °. The WISE vessel with a cant winglet angle α = 30 ° has a greater lift force compared to cant winglet angles α = 45 ° and α = 60 °.t angle on winglet.
