Abstract

Budaya organisasi adalah komponen utama pengambilan keputusan fungsional di universitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui budaya organisasi yang dirasakan di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena belum pernah ada penelitian terkait yang memetakan secara menyeluruh budaya organisasi yang ada di ITS. Subjek yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 433 orang yang terdiri dari 269 orang penilaian budaya organisasi dan 164 orang penilaian kemampuan manajemen. Responden penelitian berasal dari tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di ITS. Tenaga pendidik tersebut tersebar dalam 10 fakultas berbeda sedangkan tenaga kependidikan tersebar dalam biro, lembaga, dan tata usaha fakultas di ITS. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa skala Organizatonal Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) dengan tambahan Management Skilss Assessment Instrument (MSAI). Metode analisis menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan bantuan OCAI dan MSAI. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa budaya organisasi yang dirasakan di ITS adalah budaya organisasi Clan dan Hierarchy. Hasil analisa kemampuan manajemen dari seluruh pemimpin di ITS menunjukan condong ke budaya Clan.
================================================================================== Organizational culture is a primary component of functional decision making in universities. This study aims to determine the perceived organizational culture at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). This research is important because there has never been any related research that mapped out the overall organization culture in ITS. There were 433 subjects participating in the study consisting of 269 people assessment of organizational culture and 164 people assessment of management skills survey. Research respondents came from educators and education personnel in ITS. Educators are spread in 10 different faculties while the educational staff spread in bureaus, institutions, and administrative faculties in ITS. The data collection tool used in this research is the Organizatonal Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) scale with the addition of Management Skilss Assessment Instrument (MSAI). The analytical method uses descriptive quantitative with the help of OCAI and MSAI. The results of the analysis show that the perceived organizational culture in ITS is the organizational culture of Clan and Hierarchy. The result of management ability analysis from all leaders in ITS shows that management has Clan culture characteristics.
