Abstract
Air bersih merukapan kebutuhan utama karena hampir semua aktivitas menggunakan air bersih untuk menunjang kehidupan. Mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama juga membutuhkan air bersih untuk keperluan mereka seperti mencuci baju, mandi dan lain sebagainya. Dengan menggunakan pompa Intake dan Backwash air sungai disekitar asrama dapat dimanfaatkan untuk dialirkan menjadi air bersih.
Pada tugas akhir ini didapatkan perhitungan instalasi dan pemilihan pompa yang sesuai untuk instalasi pompa Intake dan pompa Backwash. Perhitungan head, kapasitas, daya pompa dan efisiensi dilakukan secara analitis dan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow experts.
Pada analisis dan perhitungan ini, didapatkan kapasitas untuk pompa Intake dengan kapasitas maksimal 13 L/sec dengan head effektif instalasi (Heff) sebesar 13,397 m serta didapatkan daya pompa sebesar 3,7 kW. Sehingga dari hasil perhitungan-perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih pompa sentrifugal single stage , merk Ebara dengan type 100 x 80 FS 4 HA 5. Lalu kapasitas untuk pompa Backwash dengan kapasitas maksimal 2 L/sec dengan head effektif instalasi (Heff) sebesar 8,55 m serta didapatkan daya pompa sebesar 0,55 kW. Sehingga dari hasil perhitungan-perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih pompa sentrifugal single stage , merk Ebara dengan type 32 – 200 / 0,55.

Clean water is the main need because almost all activities use clean water to support life. Colleger who live in dormitory also need clean water for their needs such as washing clothes, bathing, etc. By using Intake and Backwash pumps, river water around the dormitory can be used to flow into clean water.
In this Final Project, we've got the results of instalation's recalculation and pump selection which are the most suitable for Intake and Backwash pump instalation. Head, capacity, power and efficiency calculation are manually calculated by the author and numerically calculated by Pipe Flow Experts software.
In this analysis and calculation, we’ve got the capacity for Intake pump with operation capacity 13 L / sec, with the head of the effective installation (Heff) is 13,397 m and 3,7 kW of pump power. So from the results of these calculations can be selected single stage centrifugal pump, brand Ebara with type 100 x 80 FS 4 HA 5. Then the capacity for Backwash pump with operation capacity of 2 L / sec, with the head of the effective installation (Heff) is 8,55 m and 0,55 kW of pump power. So from the results of these calculations can be selected single stage centrifugal pump, brand Ebara with type 32 - 200 / 0,55.
