Abstract

KMP SMS Swakarya has been repaired at PT. Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya. This causes a change in the displacement and position of the center of the ship. So that, it needs to calculate the dynamic stability and movement of the ship to be safe to operate at Bali Strait. The analysis begins with calculating static stability at 6 loading conditions including Light Load; Full Load Departure; Full Load Arrival; Ballast Departure; Ballast Arrival and Full Load Departure with load shift. The results of static stability are compared to the stability criteria of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). All loading conditions have fulfilled the IMO stability criteria. Then analyze the dynamic stability by using the return arm (GZ) value on the static stability curve. The highest dynamic stability value is 1291,667 m.ton in Departure Ballast conditions and the lowest is 359,638 m.ton in Full Load conditions with load shifting. For movement analysis, begins with calculating Amplitude Operator Response (RAO) with Heave, Pitch, and Roll movements variations on regular waves. Furthermore, calculating Jonswap spectra that will be integrated with RAO to find motion response. From the results of the motion response analysis, the results of the average response and the significant response of the highest Heave movement at Full Load condition with 90o wave direction, the highest Roll motion at Ballast condition with 90o wave direction and the highest Pitch at Light Load condition with 45o wave direction. The final step is to do seakeeping analysis at a significant wave height of 0.5 m, 0.9 m, and 1.5.m. The results of the analysis have met the general criteria for seakeeping Olson.
