Abstract

Berdasarkan standar IEEE 1584-2002 yang mengatur tentang analisa bahaya busur api pada sistem tegangan rendah dan menengah, pengguna dapat dengan mudah menentukan batas keamanan untuk para pekerja. Namun perlu diperhatikan bahwa standar yang ada diperoleh dari hasil pengukuran insiden energi busur api pada kondisi tertentu dan dikombinasikan dengan teori. Menurut rekomendasi standar IEEE perhitungan arus hubung singkat selalu memperhatikan kontribusi arus gangguan dari generator, motor induksi dan sinkron. Besar kecilnya energi arc flash dapat ditentukan dari beberapa sudut pandang. Diantaranya ialah nilai energi arc flash akan besar apabila dihitung dengan menggunakan arus bolted three phase fault, sedangkan dari sudut arc clearing time yang didapat dari waktu dimana arus gangguan saat itu terjadi akan menghasilkan nilai energi busur api yang lebih rendah. Hal ini memunculkan metode perhitungan modifikasi yang didasarkan pada perhitungan kontribusi arus hubung singkat dan waktu pemadaman busur api yang dihasilakn lebih rendah dari standar IEEE 1584-2002. Based on the IEEE 1584-2002 standard regulating the arc hazard analysis at low and medium voltage systems , the user can easily determine the safety limit for workers . However, it should be noted that the existing standards obtained from measurements of the arc energy incident on certain conditions and combined with theory . According to the recommendations of IEEE standard short-circuit current calculation always pay attention to the contribution of the noise current generator , induction and synchronous motors . The size of the arc flash energy can be determined from several viewpoints . Among them is the value of arc flash energy will be greater if calculated using a three -phase bolted fault current , while from the corner arc clearing time obtained from the time when the fault current when it happens will generate energy value lower arc . This raises the modification calculation method based on the calculation of the contribution of short-circuit current and the arc extinction time dihasilakn lower than the IEEE 1584-2002 standard . It can be used as a reference for the improvement of the safety system .
