Abstract

==================================================================Making dug wells has a very high risk or danger. This can lead to digging wells of airborne poisoning contained in the soil because inside the soil to be excavated has several toxic gases such as CO, CO2, CH4 and H2S. And the most dangerous is the gas CO and CH4 because if the gas is inhaled exceeds the threshold, it will cause difficulty breathing, unconscious, until death.
The toxic gas detector to dig the microcontroller based well will be inserted into the well with the specified depth. If a toxic gas is detected by a CO gas sensor or H2S gas sensor, then the gas detection results will be sent using a wireless medium to the laptop on the surface of the well.
From the testing of this tool got the average heating time on the gas sensor CO 83.3 seconds on CH4 gas sensor 78.2 seconds. For the error rate on the MQ-7 sensor a maximum of 11.043% and for the MQ-4 sensor a maximum of 5.984%. And for different results, factors that affect the place, time and temperature. This tool is designed if the CO> 500 ppm gas level will light up and buzzer will sound on the red LABVIEW lamp will light indicates the hazard indicator. To test Ethernet Shield and Access Point with upput capability up to 177 Kbyte / s, with 0.15ms delay and 0.4% packet loss.
