Abstract
Kabupaten Trenggalek merupakan daerah ke empat penghasil kelapa terbesar di JawaTimur. Potensi tersebut berhasil dikembangkan oleh CV. Budi Lestari sebagai salah satu perusahaan local yang bergerak dalam bisnis Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Sejak tahun 2014 CV. Budi Lestari mulai mengolah produk VCO menjadi beberapa varian produk, antara lain; sabun, minyak telon, minyak aromaterapi dan lipbalm. Berkembangnya diversifikasi produk mengakibatkan kebutuhan akan kemasanpun semakin meningkat. Demikian pula ketatnya persaingan pasar mendorong perusahaan untuk segera melakukan re-desain kemasan agar lebih memiliki identitas khas dan berdaya saing dengan produk-produk sejenis di pasaran.
Melalui perancangan ini maka dirumuskan sebuah konsep desain kemasan produk VCO yang beridentitas kultur lokal sebagai salah satu ciri Kabupaten Trenggalek. Kesan yang ingin dicapai adalah menciptakan kemasan produk perawatan tubuh yang murni terbuat dari bahan herbal dengan image praktis dan higienis. Hasil perancangan ini menampilkan kultur ikonik Trenggalek yaitu Menak Sopal dan Turonggo Yakso sebagai benang merah desain kemasan produk VCO dan olahannya. Melalui hasil perancangan ini, diharapkan mampu memberikan identitas yang khas dan konsistensi desain pada setiap implementasi kemasan produk yang dikembangkannya sebagai VCO Menak Sopal produk unggulan daerah dan Kabupaten Trenggalek akan memiliki produk unggulan yang berpotensi besar di era pasar globalisasi. Keberagaman potensi produk dari VCO ini dapat selalu dikembangkan baik dari aspek pengolahan dan penggunaan produk maupun cara pengenalannya pada konsumen.

=========================================================Trenggalek Regency is the fourth largest coconut producer in East Java. This potential was successfully developed by CV. Budi Lestari as one of the local companies engaged in the business of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) in Trenggalek Regency. Since 2014 CV. Budi Lestari began processing VCO products into several product variants, including; soap, telon oil, aromatherapy oil and lipbalm. The development of product diversification has resulted in increasing demand for packaging. Likewise, tight market competition encourages companies to immediately re-design packaging so that they have more distinctive identity and competitiveness with similar products on the market. Through this design, a VCO product packaging design concept that identifies local culture is formulated as one of the characteristics of Trenggalek Regency. The impression you want to achieve is to create a package of body care products made from pure herbal ingredients with a practical and hygienic image. The results of this design show the iconic culture of Trenggalek namely Menak Sopal and Turonggo Yakso as the common thread of VCO product packaging design and processing. Through the results of this design, it is expected to be able to provide a distinctive identity and consistency of design in every implementation of product packaging that he developed as Menak VCO Sopal superior products in the region and Trenggalek Regency will have superior products with high potential in the era of globalization market. The diversity of potential products from this VCO can always be developed both from the aspects of processing and product use as well as ways of recognition to consumers.
