Abstract

Integrasi PT. Kaltim Methanol Industri dengan PT. Kaltim Daya
Mandiri bertujuan untuk menjaga kontinuitas aliran daya pada PT. Kaltim
Methanol Industri. Integrasi sistem ini menyebabkan perubahan nilai arus
hubung singkat sistem dan penambahan rele. Oleh karena itu diperlukan
analisis kestabilan transien dan koordinasi proteksi untuk agar sistem
dapat beroperasi normal dan mencegah kerusakan peralatan listrik saat
terjadi gangguan.
Analisa koordinasi proteksi kondisi eksisting sebelum sistem
terintegrasi terdapat kesalahan pada setting Ipickup rele arus lebih dan
grading time rele. Oleh kerena itu, untuk memperbaiki kesalahan setting
tersebut, pada sistem yang telah diintegrasi dilakukan perhitungan manual
berdasarkan standar yang ada. Hasil perhitungan ini menjadi dasar untuk
resetting rele arus lebih (OCR) fasa dan ground sehingga sistem yang
telah terintegrasi dapat beroperasi dengan normal.
Analisa kestabilan transien yang dilakukan meliputi generator
outage, short circuit, dan motor starting. Hasil simulasi menunjukan
ketika terjadi short circuit pada bus 11 kV, tegangan sistem mengalami
penurunan yang begitu cepat dan akhirnya kembali stabil saat circuit
breaker didekat gangguan di open. Ketika generator pada PT. Kaltim
Daya Mandiri lepas, perlu dilakukan mekanisme load shedding serta
pemasangan rele undervoltage dan rele under frekuensi sebagai back up.
Selain itu, pelepasan generator akan menyebabkan aliran daya mengalir
kembali ke generator sehingga diperlukan pemasangan rele reverse
power.

The aims of PT. Kaltim Methanol Industri with PT. Kaltim
Daya Mandiri integration is to maintain power flow continuity in
PT. Kaltim Methanol Industri. This system integration caused the
changes of short circuit current and addition of protection relay.
Therefore, it’s necessary to analyze transient stability and
protection coordination to maintains system to operate normally
and prevent damage on electrical equipment when disturbance
occured.
There are some error in the setting Ipickup relay and gradding
time overcurrent relay on protection coordination of existing
condition before systems integrated. Therefore, protection
coordination of integrated system needs to be calculated manually
based on existing standards. The result of this calculation is used as
the basic for resetting overcurrent relay (OCR) phase and ground so
that the integrated system can operate normally.
Transient stability analysis include generator outage, short
circuit, and motor starting. The simulation results show if short
circuit occurred on bus 11 kV, the voltage of the system experienced
a rapid decline but stabilized when circuit breaker near the fault
line open. When the generator at PT. Kaltim Daya Mandiri outage,
load shedding mechanism and installation of undervoltage and
under frequency relay is needed as backup. In addition, the outage
geneator caused reverse power flow to generator so it’s required
installation of reverse power relays.
