Abstract

PG Kebon Agung merupakan industri pengolah tebu menjadi gula kristal dengan kapasitas giling 15.000 TTH. Karena tergolong sebagai industri continuous process maka tingkat availabilitas setiap stasiun produksi sangat penting. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhinya adalah breakdown time. Saat ini mesin centrifuge atau biasa disebut conti di stasiun puteran yang memiliki 4 komponen kritis memiliki breakdown time yang cukup lama. Mesin conti yang terdiri dari conti D1, D2, C dan A total jumlah mesinnya sebanyak 25 unit sedangkan tim teknisi yang memperbaiki mesin tersebut hanya berjumlah 3. Untuk itu dilakukan evaluasi terhadap performansi mesin conti untuk mencari faktor yang menyebabkan lamanya breakdown time. Metode yang digunakan adalah simulasi diskrit, karena dapat memodelkan sistem stasiun puteran yang kompleks dengan banyaknya variable yang saling ketergantungan. Dari hasil simulasi sistem eksisting didapatkan tingkat availabilitas sistem mesin conti C menjadi yang paling rendah, yakni sebesar 0,69 disebabkan karena availabilitas inventori sparepart saringan C dan v-belt yang rendah serta lamanya menunggu untuk diperbaiki. Dengan melakukan eksperimen terhadap stok inventori saringan C, v-belt dan penambahan tim teknisi, didapatkan 3 opsi skenario perbaikan yakni skenario 1.4, skenario 2.1 dan skenario 3.1 dengan nilai availabilitas masing-masing sebesar 89.9%, 91.7% dan 90.1%.

PG Kebon Agung is a cane sugar processing industry into sugar which has capacity of 15,000 TCD. Because it is classified as a continuous process industry, the level of availability of each production station is being important. One of the factors that affecting is the breakdown time. Currently the centrifuge machine or commonly called conti at puteran station ,which has 4 critical components, has long breakdown time. The conti machine consisting of D1, D2, C and A conti totals of 25 units while the technician team that repaired the machine only 3. For this reason an evaluation of the performance of the conti machine was conducted to identify the main factor that caused a long breakdown time. The method used is discrete event simulation, because it can model a complex system at puteran station with many interdependent variables. From the result of the existing system simulation, the availability of the conti C machine system became the lowest, which is equal to 0.69 due to the availability of inventory saringan C, v-belt and the long waiting time to be repaired. By experimenting on stock of inventory saringan C, v-belt and the addition of a technician team, the writer obtained 3 proposed scenario, differenced by the amount of variable changed, namely scenario 1.4, scenario 2.1 and scenario 3.1 with the value of availability of 89.9%, 91.7% and 90.1% respectively.
