Abstract
Mengembangkan bisnis kafe di Surabaya dengan konsep makanan khas
Nusantara masih menjadi peluang yang besar. Salah satu restoran yang menyajikan
makanan khas daerah adalah “Wakul Suroboyo” dimana dalam menunya
menyajikan makanan khas Suroboyo dengan lengkap. Dengan banyaknya café,
persaingan pun semakin tinggi sehingga perlu dibuat konsep yang berbeda dari café
yang ada di Surabaya.
Café yang menggabungkan antara wisata kuliner dengan wisata edukasi masih
jarang ditemui di Surabaya. Perancangan interior dengan konsep café-galeri dirasa
mampu bersaing untuk industri persaingan café. Konsep tersebut membuat
pengunjung tidak hanya menikmati makanan, tetapi juga menikmati karya seni
yang ditampilkan. Galeri juga disewakan kepada seniman di Surabaya yang ingin
memamerkan hasil karya. Metode yang digunakan dalam merancang yakni dengan
observasi, wawancara dan literature. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah dan
dianalisa sehingga diperoleh penerapan konsep desain pada interior.
Hasil dari proses perancangan adalah rancangan desain interior ruang
makan café dengan display galeri di dalamnya. Sehingga pengunjung tidak hanya
menikmati makanan tetapi juga menikmati hasil karya seni dari seniman.

Developing a cafe business in Surabaya with typical food of Nusantara
concept still become great opportunity. One of a restaurant which serving region
typical food is Wakul Suroboyo, which in the menu their serving complete typical
food of Suroboyo.
With so many cases, the competition of business cafe becomes high, so need
different and unique concept cafe. The cafe which combines culinary tourism with
education tourism still rare in Surabaya. Interior design with cafe gallery concept
able to compete for the cafe business industry. That concept not only makes visitor enjoy
the food but enjoy the artworks displayed. The gallery can be rented for Surabaya artist
who wanna displayed their artworks. The method which uses for designing is
observation, interview, and literature. The data obtained processed and analyzed so
the results are applied to the interior concept.
The results from designing process interior design cafe with gallery display
inside. So the visitors not only enjoying food but enjoying the artist's artwork.
