Abstract

indonesia is one of the countries that has a larger sea area than the
land area. It means Indonesia should produce more marine product and
make sure the product still fresh and has high quality. Due to the higher
needed of fresh fish, also higher needed of cooling system that could
maintain the freshness of fish. One of solution of highly needed of cooling
system, Slurry ice is the solution that the world still developed. Also the
needed of low cost of cooling system. Another function of slurry ice due to
the fish refrigeration is the fish refrigeration time is three time faster than
using ice block for decreasing the temperature until 2oC. Usually, the ice
slurry cooling system is used on big fishing vessel or above 50 GT, but in
Indonesia, Commonly using the fishing vessel ≤ 30 GT. In this research
the writer try to make another solution, that is trying to make a low-
budget slurry ice for fishing vessel with the capacity of 30 GT with
different mixture material, Seawater, Potassium Hydroxide (KoH), and
Potassium Chloride (KCl) . The cooling system uses a simple steam
compression system consist of five major components consisting of
evaporator, condenser, compressor. In designing this system determined
the type of refrigerant used in advance which type of refrigerant R-134a.
next, do the design and selecting its components. The design only need to
be done on calculating evaporator. As for the other major components
such as condenser, compressor in accordance with the specification of the
power needed by evaporator. By variating the mixture material of slurry
ice, we could know which one is the most effective above all. Based on this research, {potassium Chloride is the most effective between all of the
variable that already available. Because it could increase and increase but
in a stable graphic

Indonesia adalah salah satu negara yang memiliki wilayah laut lebih besar dari daratan. Ini berarti Indonesia harus memproduksi lebih banyak produk laut dan memastikan produknya masih segar dan berkualitas tinggi. Karena semakin tinggi kebutuhan ikan segar, semakin tinggi pula kebutuhan sistem pendingin yang dapat menjaga kesegaran ikan. Salah satu solusi dari sistem pendingin yang sangat dibutuhkan, Slurry ice adalah solusi yang dunia masih kembangkan. Juga dibutuhkan sistem pendingin berbiaya rendah. Fungsi lain dari es bubur karena pendinginan ikan adalah waktu pendinginan ikan tiga kali lebih cepat daripada menggunakan balok es untuk menurunkan suhu hingga 2oC. Biasanya, sistem pendingin bubur es digunakan pada kapal penangkap ikan besar atau di atas 50 GT, tetapi di Indonesia, umumnya menggunakan kapal penangkap ikan ≤ 30 GT. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mencoba membuat solusi lain, yaitu mencoba membuat es bubur beranggaran rendah untuk kapal penangkap ikan dengan kapasitas 30 GT dengan bahan campuran yang berbeda, Air Laut, Kalium Hidroksida (KoH), dan Kalium Klorida (KCl) . Sistem pendingin menggunakan sistem kompresi uap sederhana yang terdiri dari lima komponen utama yang terdiri dari evaporator, kondensor, kompresor. Dalam perancangan sistem ini ditentukan jenis refrigeran yang digunakan terlebih dahulu jenis refrigeran R-134a. selanjutnya, lakukan desain dan pilih komponennya. Desain hanya perlu dilakukan pada penghitungan evaporator. Sedangkan untuk komponen utama lainnya seperti kondensor, kompresor sesuai dengan spesifikasi daya yang dibutuhkan oleh evaporator. Dengan memvariasikan bahan campuran es bubur, kita bisa tahu mana yang paling efektif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, {potassium Chloride adalah yang paling efektif di antara semua variabel yang sudah tersedia. Karena bisa bertambah dan bertambah tetapi dalam grafik yang stabil
