Abstract
Biodiesel merupakan salah satu alternatif pengganti bahan bakar fosil. Tetapi biodiesel memiliki nilai kalor 8% lebih rendah dari pertadex. Untuk mengatasi hal diatas mesin diesel DI 20 C dengan penyetingan waktu pengijeksian bahan bakar yang lebih lama. Maka perlu penambahan udara pembakaran untuk meningkatkan AFR dan kinerja dari mesin diesel DI 20 C. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan udara pembakaran menggunakan supercharger elektrik terhada peforma, emisi, AFR dan kondisi kerja mesin diesel DI 20 C. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengoperasikan mesin diesel pada putaran konstan 2000 rpm dan pembebanan dari 1000 W hingga 7000 W dengan interval 1000 W. Penambahan udara pembakaran meggunakan supercharger electrik dengan pengaturan tegangan pada voltage regulator pada supercharger. Pengaturan voltage regulator sebesar sehingga menyebabkan perubahan mass flowrate dari udara berturut-turut ṁudara = 0.005965 kg/s, ṁudara = 0.00617 kg/s, ṁudara = 0.006425 kg/s dan ṁudara = 0.006762 kg/s. Dengan prosentase kenaikan 2,83 %, 6,37%, 10,76% dan16,57%. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa dengan variasi penambahan udara pembakaran pada bahan bakar biodiesel, tekanan injeksi 230 Kg/cm3 dan waktu injeksi 16o BTDC. Peforma terbaik pada ṁudara sebesar 0.006762kg/s dengan prosentase kenaikan sebesar 16,57% dihasilkan, peningkatan efisiensi thermal dan air fuel ratio berturut-turut sebesar 33,9% dan 55,59%, serta penurunan specific fuel consumption, temperatur exhaust, temperatur engine, termperatur oli dan smoke opacity berturut turut sebesar 25,32%, 30,44%, 13,46%, 20,14%, dan 73,68%. Jika dibandingkan dengan bahan bakar pertadex, tekanan injeksi 200 kg/cm3 dan waktu injeksi 20o BTDC. Didapatkan peningkatan efisiensi thermal dan air fuel ratio berturut-turut sebesar 14,09% dan 22,91%, serta penurunan specific fuel consumption, temperatur exhaust, temperatur engine, termperatur oli dan smoke opacity berturut turut sebesar 11,64%, 25,38%, 14,62%, 7,84%, dan 98,44%.

Biodiesel is an alternative substitute for fossil fuel. But biodiesel has a lower heating value of 8% lower than pertamina dex. Diesel engine DIAMOND DI 20 C with longer fuel injection time setting to overcome the low biodiesel lower heating value. Then it necessary to add combustion air to increase the air fuel ratioand peformance of diesel engine DI 20 C. This research aims to determinethe effect of adding combustin air usin an electric sepercharger to peformance, emission, and working conditions of diesel engine DI 20 C. This research was conducted by operating a desel engine at 2000 rpm constanly and loading form 1000 W to 7000 W with 1000 W intervals. The addition of cumbustion air uses an electric supercharger by setting the voltage regulator. The voltage regulator settings cause change in air mass flow rate in sequence ṁair = 0.005965 kg/s, ṁair = 0.00617 kg/s, ṁair = 0.006425 kg/s dan ṁair = 0.006762 kg/s, with the percentage increase of 2,83 %, 6,37%, 10,76% and 16,57%. The results of this study found that with variations in the addition of combustion air to biodiesel fuel, the injection pressure was 230 Kg / cm3 and the injection time was 160 BTDC. The best performance was produced in ṁair 0.006762kg / s with a percentage increase of 16.57%. increase in thermal and air fuel ratio efficiency by 33.9% and 55.59% respectively, and decrease in specific fuel consumption, exhaust temperature, engine temperature, oil regulator and smoke opacity respectively at 25.32%, 30.44% , 13.46%, 20.14%, and 73.68%. When compared with pertadex fuel, injection pressure is 200 kg / cm3 and injection time is 20o BTDC. Increased thermal efficiency and air fuel ratio was obtained by 14.09% and 22.91% respectively, as well as specific fuel consumption, exhaust temperature, engine temperature, oil temperature and smoke opacity in a row of 11.64%, 25.38%, 14.62%, 7.84 % and 98.44%.
