Abstract

Inovasi di bidang fashion berkembang sangat cepat untuk memenuhi besarnya kebutuhan mode. Salah satu yang sedang dikembangkan oleh desainer dunia adalah penggunaan teknologi teknik cetak 3 dimensi (3D Print) sebagai alternatif teknologi dan material dalam pembuatan produk fashion. Di Indonesia, penggunaan teknologi teknik cetak 3 dimensi ini masih belum cukup dikenal, terutama di bidang fashion. Alat 3D printer yang mudah ditemui di Indonesia pun masih terbatas dikarenakan faktor biaya dan kesulitan bea cukai dimana alat tersebut harus beli dari luar negeri dan terdapat batasan-batasan tertentu yang harus dipatuhi. Selain itu, pada produk fashion 3D print yang telah dikembangkan masih belum memenuhi kaidah kenyamanan pakaian untuk dikenakan pada kegiatan sehari-hari¬¬ - mengingat produk fashion 3D print yang telah dikembangkan adalah produk haute-couture.
Penulis mengembangkan produk pakaian dengan menggunakan teknologi cetak 3 dimensi yang ada dan dapat diaplikasikan di Indonesia dengan segenap keterbatasannya, sekaligus tetap nyaman untuk dikenakan sehari-hari. Perancangan diawali dengan studi pustaka mengenai fashion 3D print, kemudian dilakukan eksperimen material dengan metode variabel. Variabel tetap yang digunakan adalah material utama dari filamen printer 3d, sedangkan variabel bebas yaitu material penguat atau material tambahan dengan kain maupun material gabungan. Setelah ditemukan cara pengolahan dan komposisi material yang dirasa tepat, dilakukan brainstorming konsep desain. Konsep yang dipilih pada perancangan ini adalah pengembangan bentuk fashion 3d printing dengan mengeksplorasi keunikan material yang tidak dapat diaplikasikan jika menggunakan material lain. Konsep yang dipilih adalah pengembangan “Armory Look” dengan tema desain “Futuristic Knight” Luaran dari riset ini adalah prototype series pakaian wanita.

Innovations in the fashion field are developing very fast to meet the large fashion needs. One that is being developed by world designers is the use of 3D technology (3D Print) as a technology and material alternative in the manufacture of fashion products. In Indonesia, the use of 3-dimensional printing technology is still not well known, especially in the fashion field. 3D printer tools that are easily found in Indonesia are still limited due to cost factors and customs difficulties where these tools must be purchased from abroad and there are certain restrictions that must be obeyed. In addition, the 3D print fashion products that have been developed still do not meet the comfort rules of clothing to be worn on daily activities - considering that 3D print fashion products that have been developed are haute-couture products.
The author develops clothing products using existing 3-dimensional printing technology and can be applied in Indonesia with all its limitations, while still being comfortable to wear everyday. The design begins with a literature study on 3D print fashion, then material experiments with variable methods are carried out. The fixed variable used is the main material of the 3d printer filament, while the independent variable is reinforcing material or additional material with fabric or composite material. After finding the processing method and composition of materials that were deemed appropriate, brainstormed the design concept. The concept chosen in this design is the development of a fashion 3d printing form by exploring the uniqueness of materials that cannot be applied if using other materials. The concept chosen is the development of "Armory Look" with the design theme "Futuristic Knight" The output of this research is the prototype series of women's clothing.
