Abstract

Ganoderma Lucidum, or known as lingzhi, is one of the medicinal mushrooms that has been widely used to treat various kinds of diseases like asthma, diabetes, heart disease and cancer by people in Asia. Unfortunately in Indonesia, G. lucidum are not widely used. This study aims to isolate compounds from G. lucidum originating growth in Indonesia and test the antibacterial, antioxidant and antidiabetic activity. Furthermore, the isolated compounds were characterized by IR, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR to determine the structure of the compound. The results of the isolation of G. lucidum compounds obtained two compounds: ergosterol and ergosterol peroxide. Based on the antibacterial and antioxidant activity, the methanol extract had the highest activity. Even the MIC value of Pseudomonas aeruginosa of 156.25 µg/mL was better than positive control (chloramphenicol) with MIC of 312.5 µg/mL.
