Abstract

PT. X merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri galangan kapal. Dalam melaksanakan aktivitas pemeliharaan fasilitas dan peralatan yang dimiliki, PT. X telah menerapkan kegiatan pemeliharaan pencegahan yang dilakukan secara rutin yaitu setiap 3 bulan sekali. Akan tetapi frekuensi kegagalan fasilitas dan peralatan yang terjadi di dalam interval pemeliharaan masih cenderung tinggi. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh maintenance task yang dirancang oleh PT. X belum efektif, dimana setiap komponen memiliki interval pemeliharaan yang sama dan tidak mempertimbangkan karakteristik kegagalan masing – masing komponen yang menyusun fasilitas. Penggunaan Reliability Centered Maintenance II dapat membantu perusahaan untuk mengidentifikasi proposed maintenance task yang sesuai untuk masing – masing komponen yang menyusun fasilitas. Melalui RCM II Information Worksheet dapat diidentifikasi kegagalan, penyebab dan dampak yang diakibatkan dari kegagalan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi pada fasilitas reparasi kapal di PT. X terdapat 27 kegagalan fungsi dan 60 jenis kegagalan yang berbeda. Pada RCM II Decision Worksheet akan menyediakan informasi dampak yang diakibatkan setiap jenis kegagalan serta proposed maintenance task yang sesuai dengan menggunakan RCM Decision Diagram. Kegiatan scheduled restoration task dilakukan pada 24 komponen, on condition task dilakukan pada 10 komponen, kegiatan scheduled discard task dilakukan pada 3 komponen dan kegiatan failure finding dilakukan pada 7 komponen yang berbeda. Selanjutnya dilakukan penentuan interval aktivitas pemeliharaan dari setiap komponen, sehingga dapat dilakukan penjadwalan aktivitas pemeliharaan serta rancangan ulang maintenance task pada setiap fasilitas reparasi kapal. Selain itu salah satu penyebab aktivitas pemeliharaan pada PT.X terlambat yakni tidak adanya persediaan spare part. Kegiatan pemeliharaan yang dilakukan pada beberapa bengkel tidak mencapai target, sebab perusahaan harus melakukan pemesanan terlebih dahulu ketika harus dilakukan penggantian spare part. Sehingga pada penelitian berikut juga dilakukan perhitungan rekomendasi kebijakan persediaan spare part untuk mencegah keterlambatan aktivitas pemeliharaan.

PT. X is a shipyard company that has implemented preventive maintenance activities every three months. However, the frequency of failures in its facilities and equipment occurring during the maintenance interval tends to be high. This is allegedly caused by the maintenance tasks designed by PT. X, which have not been effective. Each component has the same maintenance interval without considering the failure characteristics of each component that forms a system within the facility. The Reliability-Centered Maintenance II (RCM II) method is used to identify the proposed maintenance tasks for each component that constitutes the machine or facility. The RCM II Information Worksheet contains information on failures, causes of failures, and effects of failures. Based on the identification results at the ship repair facility of PT. X, there are 27 functional failures and 60 different failure modes. The RCM II Decision Worksheet provides information on the consequences of each type of failure and proposes maintenance tasks using the RCM Decision Diagram. Scheduled restoration tasks are carried out on 24 components, on-condition tasks are carried out on 10 components, scheduled discard tasks are carried out on 3 components, and failure-finding tasks are carried out on 7 different components. Once the maintenance activity intervals for each component have been determined, maintenance activities can be scheduled and the maintenance tasks for each ship repair facility can be redesigned. On the other hand, one of the causes of delays in maintenance activities at PT. X is the absence of spare-part inventory. Maintenance activities carried out in several workshops did not meet the targets because the company had to place an order in advance whenever a spare part needed to be replaced. Therefore, this research aims to calculate recommendations for spare-part inventory policies to prevent delays in maintenance activities.
