Abstract

Tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) adalah suatu limbah buangan dari pabrik pengolahan minyak sawit yang ketersediaannya di Indonesia cukup berlimpah. Pabrik pengolahan minyak sawit menghasilkan TKKS hingga 23% dari kapasitas tandan buah segar (TBS) yang diproses. Pemanfaatan TKKS di Indonesia masih kurang maksimal. TKKS ini sangat potensial untuk dikonversi menjadi energi sehingga industri CPO mampu menjadi industri yang memasok energinya sendiri (self-sufficiency energy). Pemanfaatan energi di pabrik CPO dapat berlangsung efisien melalui sistem pembangkit ganda (cogeneration). Dimana listrik dapat dihasilkan dari uap yag diproduksi dari ketel pembakaran TKKS sebagai penggerak steam turbine. Proses pembangkit energi pada pabrik ini merupakan closed loop dan mengacu pada sikulas rankine serta pembakaran TKKS menggunakkan circulating fluidized bed combuster (CFBC). Panas hasil pembakaran TKKS digunakan untuk memanaskan boiler feed water yang kemudian steam akan memutar steam turbine generator (STG) untuk menghasilkan listrik dan waste steam yang akan digunakan kembali untuk pabrik CPO. Pabrik energi dari TKKS ini akan dibangun di kawasan Pabrik CPO PT. Siringo – Ringo, Kabupaten Labuan Batu, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Pabrik direncanakan memiliki kapasitas 60 ton/jam Tandan Buah Segar (TBS). Pabrik ini dapat memproduksi listrik sebanyak 3,43 MW dan saturated steam (3bar) sejumlah 18,476 ton steam/jam yang mampu memenuhi 40% kebutuhan steam Pabrik CPO. Pendirian pabrik ini menggunakan dana invetasi yang berasal dari modal sendiri sebesar 40% dan modal pinjaman sebesar 60% dari biaya investasi dengan bunga 7%. Dari analisa ekonomi, didapatkan hasil investasi sebesar dengan IRR 17,31%, POT 4,8 tahun, BEP 41%, dan NPV 10 tahun sebesar Rp 75.450.980.411.

Oil palm empty bunches (OPEFB) are a waste from palm oil processing plants whose availability in Indonesia is quite abundant. Palm oil processing plants produce TKKS up to 23% of the capacity of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) processed. Utilization of TKKS in Indonesia is still not optimal. This TKKS is very potential to be converted into energy so that the CPO industry is able to become an industry that supplies its own energy (self-sufficiency energy). Energy use in CPO plants can be carried out efficiently through a cogeneration system. Where electricity can be produced from steam which is produced from the TKKS combustion kettle as a driver of steam turbine. The process of energy generation in this factory is a closed loop and refers to sikulas rankine and TKKS combustion using circulating fluidized bed combuster (CFBC). The heat from burning OPEFB is used to heat the boiler feed water which then steam will rotate the steam turbine generator (STG) to produce electricity and waste steam that will be reused for the CPO plant. The energy plant from this TKKS will be built in the CPO Plant area of ​​PT. Siringo - Ringo, Labuan Batu Regency, North Sumatra Province. The plant is planned to have a capacity of 60 tons / hour of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). This factory can produce as much as 3.43 MW of electricity and saturated steam (3bar) in the amount of 18,476 tons of steam / hour which is able to meet 40% of the steam requirement of the CPO Plant. The establishment of this factory uses investment funds from 40% of its own capital and 60% of loan capital from investment costs with 7% interest. From economic analysis, the investment results are obtained with 17.41% IRR, 4.8 years POT, 41% BEP, and 10-year NPV of Rp. 75,450,980,411.
