Abstract

Greenhouse monitoring and control aims to monitor and control the climate in the greenhouse to meet the growing conditions of chilli plants in it. Automation is done by using a humidifier, plant sprinklers, room heaters and fans. The controlled microclimate includes soil moisture, temperature and air humidity. The actuator is connected with the SHT11 sensor and the soil moisture sensor, the sensor is connected to Arduino Uno in order to give commands to the actuator. Then the ESP-01 wi-fi module is connected to Arduino Uno so that sensor reading data will be sent to the Thingspeak database to be monitored. The results of this study are data on humidity and temperature before and after automation. The data after automation displays the values that are in accordance with the growing conditions of chili namely air temperature 20ºC to 30ºC, air humidity 60% to 80% and soil moisture > 50%. The monitoring system on the ThingView Free application can be displayed in realtime and the microclimate control within the greenhouse is in accordance with the conditions for growing chili.
