Abstract

For many years, the topic of Asset Management and Life Cycle Cost Analysis model development has caught the attention of many researchers. Implementation of this model can be found in Acquisition phase, Post-Acquisition phase and Acquisition from Post-Acquisition Experience phase of the asset. The general model of Life Cycle Cost Analysis has been developed previously and further development can be done by adding the model of failure rate under preventive maintenance and developing simulation model for the calculation. The model implementation is concerned with finding the Economic Life Time of assets through calculation of Equivalent Uniform Annualized Cost. The implementation model for Acquisition phase in this research is simplified from the current Life Cycle Cost Analysis model, meanwhile the implementation model for Post-Acquisition Phase is taken directly from the model developed. The model will then be implemented for similar equipment to analyze the gap between the result of the calculation to create framework for Pre-Acquisition. The Acquisition Phase model implementation will be done to Clay Crusher from Vendor A, Vendor B and Vendor C. The Economic Life Time of 5 and 6 years is obtained. Meanwhile, the implementation for Post-Acquisition model is done for Raw Mill Fan. The result shows that the equipment will have ELT of 43-44 years. Further analysis is done to create a framework for Pre-Acquisition decision making in the future using simulation for 3 different scenarios.
