Abstract
PT X adalah perusahaan yang bergerak pada industri farmasi (pharmaceutical industry). Produk yang memiliki permintaan relatif stabil dan berdampak besar terhadap keuntungan perusahaan adalah obat anti mabuk. Pada proses produksi obat anti mabuk, ditemukan permasalahan yang menyebabkan terhambatnya kelancaran proses produksi. Hal itu disebabkan oleh proses produksi yang belum sesuai dengan takt time, sehingga terjadi keterlambatan pemenuhan order. Pada kondisi yang ideal, seharusnya perusahaan dapat memenuhi order secara tepat waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi waste pada proses pembuatan obat anti mabuk di PT X dengan implementasi lean manufacturing. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan identifikasi waste dan akar penyebabnya dengan mengetahui proses produksi menggunakan flowchart proses produksi, value stream mapping dan lean assessment matrix. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis akar masalah menggunakan root cause analysis menggunakan metode 5 Whys. Pada lean assessment matrix 1 didapatkan hubungan antar waste serta identifikasi waste kritis (waste yang sering terjadi dan memiliki dampak serius untuk perusahaan) berupa waste waiting, transportation, dan excessive processing. Pada lean assessment matrix 2 dihasilkan rekomendasi perbaikan dengan rank of action priority paling tinggi, yaitu melakukan research untuk membuat formulasi tablet obat anti mabuk supaya tidak rapuh. Jika rekomendasi perbaikan tersebut diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan beberapa asumsi, akan didapatkan pengurangan waktu produksi sebesar 7,4 jam.

PT X is a company engaged in the pharmaceutical industry. Products that have a relatively stable demand in the market and have a big impact on the company's profits are motion sickness drug. In the process of producing motion sickness drug, problems that are found and causes delays in the production process continuity. This problems caused by the production process that are not aligned with takt time, and leads to a delay to fulfill orders. In ideal conditions, companies should be able to fulfill orders in a timely manner. This study aims to reduce waste in the process of making motion sickness drug in PT X with the implementation of lean manufacturing. This research begins with identification of waste and its root causes by understanding the production process using the production process flowchart, value stream mapping, and lean assessment matrix. Furthermore, the root cause analysis was carried out using the 5 Whys method. On lean assessment matrix 1, relationship between waste and identification of waste critical (waste that often occurs and has a serious impact on the company) can be obtained in the form of waste waiting, transportation, and excessive processing. On lean assessment matrix 2, recommendations for improvement with the highest rank of action priority are produced, namely to conduct research on making the formulation of motion sickness drug tablets so that they are not brittle. If the recommendations for improvement are implemented using some assumptions, there will be a reduction in production time of 7.4 hours.
