Abstract

The oil and gas industry is an important sector in national development both as a fulfillment of energy needs for the community or industrial raw materials. The oil and gas industry is affected by the crude distillation stage, high vacuum unit, hydrogen plant, hydrocracking, naptha hydrotreater and platformer. Each unit requires fuel oil and fuel gas to produce heat. The results of the combustion provide a residual byproduct. The resulting residue has an impact on nature, environment and humans. Increasing production will affect the impact of the oil processing industry and increase the residual quantity. Then it is necessary to analyze and identify the impact of the oil treatment process using the life cycle assessment (LCA) method. LCA is a method of assessing the impact of a production process activity that covers all processing units. The LCA analysis results will be followed up with an analysis of the impact reduction program.
Impact assessment with Life Cycle Assessment shows the gasoline process has a greater impact than the ADO / Solar process. The gasoline process has more processing chains than the ADO / Solar process. The LCIA results showed that in 1 mton gasoline produced an impact of 28.259 Pt, while for 1 mton of ADO / Solar it was 7.72 Pt. Fossil fuels are the biggest impact of these two processes. Efforts to reduce the impact of fossil fuels can be carried out with FGRS programs and utilization of hydrogen excess platforming. FGRS can reduce the impact of 2.28% in the gasoline process and the utilization of hydrogen excess platforming decreases 6.24% in the ADO / Solar process.
