Abstract

Superkapasitor adalah perangkat penyimpanan energi yang memiliki rapat daya tinggi dan penyimpan energi yang besar. Salah satu pengembangan superkapasitor adalah electrical double layer capacitor dengan menggunakan elektroda berbahan graphene. Graphene memiliki sifat konduktivitas listrik yang tinggi dan luas permukaan yang tinggi. Pada penelitian ini, grafit oksida disintesis dengan metode Hummer dan direduksi dengan serbuk besi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh reduktor Fe terhadap sifat kapasitif material rGO. Variasi massa Fe sebagai agen pereduksi yang digunakan adalah 0,34 gr ; 0,68 gr ; dan 1,02 gr. Pengujian karakterisasi yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah XRD, SEM-EDX, dan FTIR. Untuk mengetahui sifat kapasitif material dilakukan pengujian CV, EIS dan Galvanostat charge discharge. Berdasarkan pengujian yang dilakukan, penambahan massa reduktor Fe yang semakin tinggi mengakibatkan sifat kapasitif dari elektroda semakin baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai kapasitansi dan konduktivitas yang semakin tinggi. Kapasitansi tertinggi dimiliki rGO dengan massa reduktor 1,02 gr Fe dengan nilai kapasitansi sebesar 159,67 F/g.

Supercapacitor is the most promising energy storage device that have high power density and it can store a huge of energies cycles than batteries. One of the development in supercapacitor is electrical double layer capacitor using graphene as its electrode. Graphene has the high electrical conductivity and high spesific surface area. In this research, graphite oxide was synthesized by Hummer method and was reduced by ferrous powder. The purposes of this research are to analyse the effect of Fe as reducing agent towards the capacitive properties of rGO on the application of supercapacitor. The mass variations of the ferrous as reducing agent that used in this research are 0.34 grams, 0.68 grams and 1.02 grams. The characterized testing of synthesized materials that used in this research are XRD, SEM-EDX, and FTIR. For capacitive properties of supercapacitor are measured by CV testing, Galvanostat charge-discharge testing and EIS testing. Based on the results, as the addition of Fe powder increase, the capacitive properties of electrode are also getting better. It is shown by the increment of capacitance and conductivity value. The highest capacitance value is owned by electrode with mass variation 1.02 grams of Fe with capacitance value of 159.67 F/g.
