Abstract

Berdasarkan Rencana Induk Pembangunan Industri Indonesia(RIPIN 2015-2035) pemerintah berencana mengembangkan energi alternatf salah satunya B30 dari metanol. Lisensi teknologi yang digunakan yaitu Conocophillips (gasification process) dam ICI (Synthesist methanol). Proses pembuatan metanol dari batubara ini terdiri dari dua proses utama, yaitu proses gasifikasi dan proses sintesis metanol. Proses gasifikasi terdiri atas 3 proses yaitu feedstock preparation, gasification, dan gas cleanup. Serta proses sintesis metanol terdiri dari 2 proses yaitu sintesis metanol dan methanol purification. Pabrik direncanakan beroperasi pada tahun 2020 yang berlokasi di kawasan Tanjung Enim, Sumatra Selatan. Kapasitas pabrik metanol sebesar 678 KTPA dan beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 24 jam/hari dengan waktu produksi 330 hari/tahun. Berdasarkan analisis ekonomi untuk kapasitas 678 KTPA, laju pengembalian modal (IRR) pabrik ini sebesar 40% pada tingkat suku bunga per-tahun 11%. Sedangkan untuk waktu pengembalian modal (POT) adalah 4,33 tahun dan titik impas (BEP) sebesar 24,48% atau 490 ton per hari.

Based on the Indonesian Industrial Development Master Plan (RIPIN 2015-2035) the government plans to develop alternative energy for one of them B30 from methanol. The technology license used is Conocophillips (gasification process) and ICI (Synthesist methanol). The process of making methanol from coal consists of two main processes, namely the gasification process and the methanol synthesis process. The gasification process consists of 3 processes, namely feedstock preparation, gasification, and gas cleanup. And the process of synthesis of methanol consists of 2 processes, namely synthesis of methanol and methanol purification. The plant is planned to operate in 2020 which is located in the Tanjung Enim area, South Sumatra. The capacity of the methanol plant is 678 KTPA and operates continuously for 24 hours / day with a production time of 330 days / year. Based on economic analysis for the capacity of 678 KTPA, the factory's rate of return on capital (IRR) is 40% at an annual interest rate of 11%. While for the payback period (POT) is 4.33 years and break-even point (BEP) of 24.48% or 490 tons per day.
