Abstract
Hotel merupakan salah satu fasilitas umum yang sangat dibutuhkan untuk berbagai tujuan, salah satunya adalah berwisata. Kebutuhan akan tempat pariwisata dan hotel merupakan dua hal yang selalu berkaitan erat terutama di kota-kota wisata, termasuk Kota Jakarta di Indonesia. Namun pada kenyataannya, masih ditemui permasalahan dimana tempat wisata yang sangat menarik dan berpotensi besar seperti Kota Jakarta tidak diimbangi dengan hotel lokal yang memberikan fasilitas memadai dan juga mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Salah satunya adalah Hotel Plaza, dengan letaknya yang strategis di salah satu pusat bisnis dan dekat dengan beberapa tempat wisata Kota Jakarta, seharusnya dapat menjadi kesempatan yang sangat baik untuk mengembangkan Hotel Plaza untuk memiliki suatu konsep yang berbeda sebagai daya tarik hotel itu sendiri. Berdasarkan pemikiran tersebut, maka dirasa perlu untuk melakukan suatu studi konsep untuk redesain. Dari hasil studi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsep redesain Hotel Plaza akan mengangkat konsep kontemporer dan pop art sebagai solusi untuk memaksimalkan hotel mengikuti perkembangan zaman yang ada. Dan konsep inovasi berupa fasilitas rooftop lounge yang akan digunakan untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan memberikan daya tarik tersendiri kepada Hotel Plaza. Maka disusunlah Laporan Tugas Akhir Mengenai Redesain Hotel Plaza Harco Mangga Dua Jakarta Berkonsep Kontemporer Dan Pop Art Guna Meningkatkan Daya Saing. Laporan ini bertujuan untuk membantu penerapan konsep desain yang telah diperoleh dari riset supaya lebih terarah dan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan seluruh pihak.

Hotels are one of the public facilities that are needed for various purposes, one of them is traveling. The need for tourism places and hotels are two things that are always related, especially in tourist cities, including the City of Jakarta in Indonesia. But in fact, there are still problems where very attractive and potentially tourist attractions such as the City of Jakarta are not supported by local hotels that provide adequate facilities and also keep up to date. One of them is the Plaza Hotel, with strategic location in one of the business centers and close to several tourist attractions in the City of Jakarta, should be an excellent opportunity to develop Plaza Hotel to have a different concept as the attraction of the hotel itself. Based on these thoughts, it was felt necessary to carry out a concept study for redesign. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Plaza Hotel redesign concept will take contemporary and pop art concepts as a solution to maximize the hotel keep up to date. And the concept of innovation is in the form of a rooftop lounge facility that will be used to increase competitiveness and provide a special attraction to the Plaza Hotel. Then a Thesis Report was prepared for the Plaza Harco Mangga Dua Jakarta Hotel Redesign With Contemporary And Pop Art Concept To Improve Its Competitiveness. This report aims to help implement the design concepts that have been obtained from the research so that it is more directed and in accordance with what is expected.
