Abstract

Teknis pengerjaan sistem perpipaan tersebut dikelompokkan berdasarkan klasifikasi pipa sesuai metode PPFM diantaranya PPFM No. 01 (Straight, ND ≤ 50 mm), PPFM No. 04 (Straight, ND ≥ 200 mm), PPFM No. 07 (Straight, ND ≥ 250 mm), PPFM No. 51 (Assembled, ND ≤ 50 mm), PPFM No. 54 (Assembled, ND ≥ 200 mm), PPFM No. 57 (Assembled, ND ≥ 250 mm), dan PPFM No. 95 (Unit Assembled).

Nowadays, shipyards in Indonesia still face the same problem called project delay in accordance with the agreed contract. Various factors cause the problem, one of them is the change of work partners that are often done. One system that has a considerable workload is the piping system. The existing method applied is based on the existing piping system. It gives neither a significant effect on the time of work completion nor acceleration of the production process. Therefore this research is conducted which aims to analyze the application of the Pipe Piece Family Manufacturing (PPFM) method both technically and economically to the installation of Tanker piping systems. The method is done by grouping pipes that have similar design and manufacturing attributes. The piping systems that become the object of this research include the cargo oil piping system, the fresh water piping system, and the machinery cooling piping system. The technical workmanship of the piping system is grouped based on pipe classification according to the PPFM method including PPFM No. 01 (Straight, ND ≤ 50 mm), PPFM No. 04 (Straight, ND ≥ 200 mm), PPFM No. 07 (Straight, ND ≥ 250 mm), PPFM No. 51 (Assembled, ND ≤ 50 mm), PPFM No. 54 (Assembled, ND ≥ 200 mm), PPFM No. 57 (Assembled, ND ≥ 250 mm), dan PPFM No. 95 (Unit Assembled). The manufacturing level in the PPFM method consists of seven levels of work. Those are material receiving, pipe fabrication, pipe piece assembly, pipe piece joining, testing & coating, and palletizing. Work completion time needed in the implementation of the system is 32 work days, reduced by 20%, compared to existing condition. The labor costs needed can be reduced by 1.917%, compared to existing condition. Investment costs in PPFM method implementation is Rp 111,330,000 (One Hundred Eleven Million Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Rupiahs).
