Abstract
Pendidikan merupakan sebuah pondasi dari suatu bangsa dan menjadi bagian dari hak semua manusia, sesuai yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 pasal 31 ayat 1, tidak terkecuali anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK). Oleh karena itu Sekolah luar biasa (SLB) hadir untuk memberikan fasilitas yang diperuntukan bagi penyandang disabilitas dalam memenuhi hak pendidikannya. Selain memberikan Pendidikan, rehabilitasi mental dan lingkungan juga menjadi titik fokus bagi SLB. Rehabilitasi mental dapat meliputi terapi yang telah disediakan oleh pihak sekolah dan rehabilitasi lingkungan merupakan terapi yang dilakukan anak terhadap lingkungannya setiap harinya. Dengan banyaknya kegiatan dalam SLB dan ditinjau dari pengguna yaitu ABK yang pada umumnya membutuhkan perlakukan khusus membuat SLB harus memberikan kenyamanan, keamanan serta suasana yang mendukung bagi ABK agar dapat memaksimalkan rehabilitasi yang tengah dilakukan. Dalam menentukan konsep dan desain interior pada SLB digunakan metode desain dengan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data (observasi, wawancara, serta studi literatur) dan tahapan desain (brainstorming, pengembangan konsep desain, aplikasi konsep dan hasil desain). Melalui tahapan berikut didapatkan konsep desain berupa Learning for Fun. Learning for Fun merupakan landasan dalam menciptakan pembelajaran formal tak terkecuali dalam pendidikan luar biasa. Learning for Fun dibantu dengan konsep fantasi animasi berupa kartun Adventure Time. Pengaplikasiannya dihantarkan dengan suasana latar belakang dari kisah kartun tersebut. Hal tersebut ditunjukan dengan suasana ruang yang didesain menyerupai latar belakang kisah animasi serta bentukan furniture yang ada pada ruangan. Hasil dari desain interior SLB dengan aplikasi konsep ini ini secara keseluruhan membentuk suasana yang menyenangkan dan mendukung kegiatan belajar ABK , serta membuat tatanan ruang menjadi lebih aman dan sesuai keergonomian ABK.

Education is a foundation of a nation which is part of the rights of all human beings, in the Constitution of 1945 article 31 paragraph 1, including children with special needs. Extraordinary School are present to provide facilities intended for persons with disabilities in fulfilling their educational rights. In addition to providing education, mental and environmental rehabilitation is also a focal point for Extraordinary School. Mental rehabilitation can include therapies that have been provided by the school and environmental rehabilitation is a therapy that children do on their environment every day. With many activities include in Extraordinary School and reviewed from the user, disability kids, who in general requaires need special treatment, makes Extraordinary School should provide comfort, security and support for them in order to maximise their rehabilitation. In defining the concept and interior design at the design methods used with SEN through stages of data collection (observation, interview, as well as the study of literature) and stage design (brainstorming, developing design concepts, design concepts and application of results). Through the following phases obtained a Learning for Fun design concept. Learning for Fun is the foundation for creating formal learning, including in Extraordinary School. Learning for Fun is helped by the fantasy animation concept in the form of Adventure Time cartoons. The application is delivered with the background atmosphere of the cartoon story. This is indicated by the atmosphere of the room designed to resemble the background of the animated story and the formation of furniture in the room. The results of the Extraordinary School interior design with the application of this concept as a whole formed a pleasant atmosphere and supported the learning activities of the crew, and made the space layout safer and more economically appropriate for the crew.
