Abstract
Sistem kelistrikan yang stabil serta keamanan para pekerja terhadap gangguan pada sistem kelistrikan dapat menghambat kestabilan produksi pada perindustrian. Maka dari itu, sistem keamanan serta keselamatan pekerja perlu diperhatikan oleh perusahaan guna apabila terjadi gangguan teknis maupun non-teknis yang dapat menimbulkan percikan api dapat dihindari. PT. Kebon Agung mempunyai kewajiban untuk memberikan penilaian bahaya terhadap busur api guna menentukan tingkat personal protective equipment (PPE) sebagai kebutuhan perusahaan untuk melindungi para pekerja secara memadai. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisis arc flash menggunakan metode kurva batasan yang digunakan untuk menentukan personal protective equipment (PPE) dari bahaya busur api (arc-flash) dengan berdasarkan IEEE std. 1584-2002 dan overcurrent protective device (OCPD). Tidak seperti persamaan dalam IEEE 1584, teknik analisis ini berpotensi dapat diterapkan untuk semua jenis perangkat pelindung arus lebih pada setiap sistem kelistrikan yang berada dalam jangkauan persamaan IEEE 1584. Studi aktual mengenai analisa bahaya busur api (arc-flash) dilakukan pada PT. Kebon Agung Malang. Pada hasil akhir dari analisis busur api dengan menggunakan metode kurva batasan energi penentuan kategori PPE akan lebih singkat daripada dalam menentukan kategori PPE yang lebih singkat daripada standart IEEE 1584-2002.

A stable electrical system and the safety of workers against disruptions to electricity system can reduce stability of production in the industry. Therefore, the system of security and safety of workers needs to be considered by the company in order to avoid technical or non-technical disturbances which can cause sparks to be avoided. PT. Kebon Agung has an obligation to provide a hazard assessment of arcs to determine the level of personal protective equipment (PPE) as a company need to adequately protect workers. In this final project, arc flash analysis uses a boundary curve method that is used to determine personal protective equipment (PPE) from arc-flash with IEEE std. 1584-2002 and overcurrent protective device (OCPD). Unlike the simplification equation in IEEE 1584, this analytical technique has the potential to be applied to all types of overcurrent protective devices in each electrical system that are within the range of the IEEE 1584 empirical equation. The actual study of arc-flash hazard analysis was carried out at PT. Kebon Agung Malang. In the final result of arc arc analysis using the energy boundary curve method, the process of determining the PPE category is shorter than the IEEE 1584-2002 standard.
