Abstract
Karakteristik geokimia organik pada sampel CBM-5 Lapangan Rambutan, Muaraenim, Cekungan Sumatera Selatan dilakukan melalui analisa biomarka fraksi hidrokarbon alifatik dan aromatik. Analisa biomarka dilakukan melalui metode ekstraksi dan fraksinasi dan diidentifikasi menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrometer Massa (KG-SM). Rasio Pr/Ph sebesar 1,87 mengindikasikan lingkungan pengendapan yang bersifat oksik. Keberadaan kadalena dan 1,2,5,7-TeMN mengindikasikan sumber bahan organik dari tumbuhan tingkat tinggi sehingga CBM-5 termasuk ke dalam kerogen tipe III yang cenderung menjadi gas (gas prone). Rasio Ts/Tm+Ts sebesar 0,17 dan rasio TNy sebesar 0,39 mengindikasikan kematangan rendah sampel CBM-5 sehingga hal ini menunjukkan gas metana terbentuk melalui siklus karbon pendek pada tahap diagenesis.

Characteristic of organic geochemistry in CBM-5 Rambutan Field, Muaraenim, South Sumatera Basin were carried out through biomarker analysis of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon fractions. Biomarker analysis was carried out through extraction and fractionation methods and identified using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS). The Pr/Ph ratio is 1.87 indicates an oxidic depositional environment. The existence of cadalene and 1,2,5,7-TeMN indicates the source of organic matter from higher so that CBM-5 belongs to type III kerogen which tends to become gas (gas prone). The Ts/Tm+Ts ratio is 0.17 and TNy ratio is 0,39 indicates the low maturity of the CBM-5 sample so that this shows methane gas formed through a short carbon cycle on diagenesis.
