Abstract

Multi-attribute seismic analysis is widely used to support seismic interpretation by enhancing hidden geological features, identifying similar patterns, and quantifying reservoir properties, including hydrocarbon-bearing formations. The Upper Cibulakan Formation contains fractured limestone with hydrocarbon shows, indicating its potential as a hydrocarbon reservoir. In this study, seismic attribute analysis was applied to map the distribution of limestone within the formation and to identify prospective zones for future production wells. The results of the log sensitivity analysis indicate that the gamma ray log is the most sensitive parameter for identifying the target formation, with a cutoff value of less than 60 GAPI. Sensitivity analysis of seismic attributes shows that the Signal Envelope, Envelope Derivative, Instantaneous Frequency, Weighted Mean Frequency, Instantaneous Bandwidth, and Dominant Frequency attributes provide the highest sensitivity, with cross-correlation coefficients greater than 0.30. Based on the gamma ray values, structural morphology characterized by relatively high elevations, and the absence of existing wells, three prospective production well locations, designated as Zones A, B, and C, were identified as the most promising targets for future hydrocarbon exploration and development.
