Abstract
Bandara Internasional Lombok (BIL) merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang jasa transportasi udara, di bawah manajemen PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero). Bandara ini terletak di Jalan Raya Tanak Awu, Praya, Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Sebagai pintu gerbang daerah Lombok, tentunya Bandara Internasional Lombok (BIL) harus memperhatikan aspek keamanan dan kenyamanan pengguna dengan fasilitas dan pelayanan berstandar internasional. Potensi budaya lokal yang kental, dan sektor pariwisata alam pulau Lombok yang semakain berkembang menjadi salah satu faktor tren positif meningkatnya jumlah penumpang pada bandara. Dalam era modern ini tentu menjadi sebuah tantangan Bandara Internasional Lombok untuk terus meningkatkan eksistensi dan daya tarik pengguna dengan memaksimalkan identitas daerah pada bandara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan kuesioner ada beberapa aspek yang perlu diperhatikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan eksistensi bandara, diantaranya adalah fasilitas dan suasana interior bandara, hal tersebut dapat di selesaikan menggunakan konsep desain interior modern bernuansa Gumi Sasak. Konsep modern digunakan untuk mengoptimalisasi fasilitas dan penataan alur sirkulasi dengan mengedepankan keamanan dan kemudahan akses pengguna pada bandara, serta pengaplikasian nuansa Gumi Sasak melalui eksplorasi kesenian tradisional Gendang Beleq yang diterapkan pada konsep interior bandara dan di kombinasikan dengan karakteristik alam pulau Lombok sebagai upaya meningkatkan eksistensi bandara.

Lombok International Airport (BIL) is a company engaged in the field of air transportation services, under the management of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero). The airport is located on Tanak Awu Highway, Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). As the gateway to the Lombok area, of course Lombok International Airport (BIL) must pay attention to the security and comfort aspects of users with international standard facilities and services. The potential of a strong local culture, and the natural tourism sector of the island of Lombok which are developing are one of the positive trends in the increasing number of passengers at the airport. In this modern era it is certainly a challenge for Lombok International Airport to continue to improve the existence and attractiveness of users by maximizing the identity of the area at the airport. Based on the research results of the author with the method of collecting data through observation and questionnaires there are several aspects that need to be considered to improve the quality and existence of the airport, including facilities and atmosphere of the airport interior, this can be solved using modern concepts nuanced by Gumi Sasak. Modern concepts are used to optimize facilities and arrangement of circulation channels by prioritizing security and user access to the airport, as well as the application of the nuances of Gumi Sasak through the exploration of Gendang Beleq traditional arts applied to the concept of airport interiors and combined with the natural characteristics of Lombok as an effort to improve the airport's existence .
