Abstract
ZIF-8 dan komposit kitosan/ZIF-8 telah berhasil disintesis dengan variasi penambahan massa kitosan 25%, 50% dan 75% terhadap massa ZIF-8, yang berturut-turut dinotasikan sebagai ZIF-8, kit25/ZIF-8, kit50/ZIF-8 dan kit75/ZIF-8. Sintesis ZIF-8 dilakukan dengan metode solvotermal dalam pelarut DMF pada kondisi suhu 120 ºC selama 24 jam. Modifikasi komposit kitosan/ZIF-8 dilakukan dengan metode impregnasi kitosan pada kristal ZIF-8. Pola difraktogram ZIF-8 menunjukkan puncak karakteristik pada nilai 2θ yang sama dengan ZIF-8 standar, dan puncak-puncak karakteristik ZIF-8 ini tetap muncul pada difraktogram kit25/ZIF-8 dan kit50/ZIF-8. Hasil SEM menunjukkan bahwa kristal ZIF-8 memiliki morfologi permukaan bentuk dodecahedron, yang berubah menjadi tidak beraturan dengan penambahan kitosan. Uji adsorpsi terhadap zat warna remazol brilliant blue r dalam air menunjukkan bahwa semua padatan hasil sintesis mengikuti kinetika adsorpsi orde dua semu dan isotermal adsorpsi Langmuir. Adsorben kit25/ZIF-8 menunjukkan kinerja paling tinggi dengan nilai kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 227,27 mg/g, dengan nilai % removal sebesar 81,31 %.

ZIF-8 and chitosan/ZIF-8 composites have been succesfully synthesized with variations of chitosan mass 25%, 50% and 75% toward the mass of ZIF-8, which are notated as ZIF-8, Kit25/ZIF-8, Kit50/ZIF-8 and Kit75/ZIF-8. Synthesis of ZIF-8 was carried out by the solvothermal method in DMF solvents at a temperature of 120ºC for 24 hours. Modification of chitosan/ZIF-8 composites was carried out by chitosan impregnation method in ZIF-8 crystals. The ZIF-8 diffractogram pattern shows characteristic peaks at the same value of 2θ as the ZIF-8 standard, and these ZIF-8 characteristic peaks still appear on the Kit25/ZIF-8 and Kit50/ZIF-8 diffractogram. The result of SEM characterization shows that ZIF-8 crystals have a surface morphology in the form of dodecahedron, which become formless with the addition of chitosan. The adsorption test on remazol brilliant blue r dyes in water showed that of all materials followed pseudo second order kinetics adsorption and Langmuir isothermal adsorption. The Kit25/ZIF-8 adsorbent showed the highest perfomance with an adsorption capacity value of 227,27 mg/g, with the highest % removal value of 81,31%.
