Abstract
Tenaga kebersihan yang terdapat di lingkup ITS berperan menciptakan situasi kondusif terutama disetiap kegiatan belajar mengajar. Terdapat beberapa sektor yang dibersihkan, antara lain ruang administrasi, ruang kelas dan halaman yang masing-masing memiliki karakteristik berbeda-beda. Sektor ruang kelas dipilih karena merupakan tempat berlangsungnya kegiatan belajar mengajar dan tempat berinteraksi secara langsung antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Waktu standar tenaga kependidikan di ITS terutama dalam bidang tenaga kerja kebersihan dalam bangunan, diduga dipengaruhi oleh luasan bangunan, artinya waktu yang dibutuhkan oleh tenaga kebersihan untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya diduga dipengaruhi oleh luas ruangan yang dibersihkan namun pada proses kerjanya belum diketahui berapa lama waktu optimal yang digunakan berdasarkan luas ruangan yang dibersihkan. Elemen kerja yang diamati berupa proses pembersihan ruang kelas sejumlah 20 ruang dengan hasil yang didapatkan adalah luas ruang kelas mempengaruhi waktu yang dibutuhkan petugas untuk membersihkan ruang kelas

The cleaning services group in the college has the role of creating a conducive situation, especially in every teaching and learning activities. There are several sectors that needs to be cleanned, such as administration, classroom, parks and each other has a different characteristics. The classrooms has been chosen because it is the place that lecturers and students interact directly to do some school activity. Basic working time of education personnel at ITS, especially cleaning services that cleaned inside the buildings, is thought to be influenced by the area of the building. In other words, the time that cleaning services needed to complete their tasks can be estimate by the commodious of the room being cleaned. In fact, it is not even know how long did the tasks can be done based on the widht of the classroom Based on these problems, it takes work time measurements to determine the standard time and estimates of the output of work produced and scheduling work planning more accurately so as to provide information to the ITS, one of them regarding the need for additional of cleaning workforce. Based on this research, the result is widht of the room can effect the time during cleaned the classrooms.
