Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan Nannochloropsis sp. adalah komposisi media kultur. Penambahan zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) auksin dan sitokinin dalam media kultur dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan mikroalga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh IAA dan BAP dengan berbagai konsentrasi terhadap laju pertumbuhan, kandungan klorofil, kandungan karbohidrat, serta ukuran dan bentuk sel Nannochloropsis sp. Nannochloropsis sp. diberi perlakuan variasi konsentrasi IAA dan BAP masing-masing terdiri dari 0; 0,1; 1; 10 ppm dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Data dianalisis dengan ANOVA two way pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dan uji lanjutan Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kombinasi IAA dan BAP tidak berpengaruh terhadap laju pertumbuhan, kandungan klorofil, dan bentuk sel Nannochloropsis sp., akan tetapi berpengaruh terhadap kandungan karbohidrat dengan kandungan tertinggi pada P4 (I10B0) sebesar 0,30 mg/L dan ukuran sel dengan ukuran terbesar pada P3 (I1B0) sebesar 5,72 μm.

One of the factors that influence the growth of Nannochloropsis sp. is the composition of culture media. Addition of plant growth regulators (PGRs) of auxin and cytokinin in culture media can increase microalgae growth. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of IAA and BAP with various concentrations on growth rates, chlorophyll content, carbohydrate content, and cell size and shape of Nannochloropsis sp. Nannochloropsis sp. treated with variations in the concentration of IAA and BAP each consisting of 0; 0.1; 1; 10 ppm with 3 repetitions. Data is analyzed by two way ANOVA at 95% confidence level and Tukey's follow-up test. The results show that the combination treatment of IAA and BAP does not affect the growth rate, chlorophyll content, and cell shape of Nannochloropsis sp. However, it affects the carbohydrate content with the highest content at P4 (I10B0) of 0.30 mg/L and the largest size of cell size at P3 (I1B0) of 5.72 μm.
