Abstract

Perhitungan besaran konsumsi energi menyatakan “Air Conditioner merupakan komponen yang menyumbang emisi gas rumah kaca. Dari sebuah gedung vertikal, 70% konsumsi energi disumbang oleh Air Conditioner”. Begitu juga dengan penyerapan energi listrik di Kapal penumpang hampir 75% energy listrik digunakan untuk sistem Air Conditioning. Sistem pendingin menggunakan Phase Change Material tipe eutectic salt water dipengaruhi medan magnet pada penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menjadi alternatif lain dari sistem refreigan dan Air Conditioning sehingga dapat memberikan solusi pada penghematan energi dan pengurangan dampak negatif bagi keberlangsungan hidup lingkungan sekitar. Eksperimen sederhana diharapkan mampu menunjang data data yang dibutuhkan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian ini. Dari hasil studi eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa medan elektromagnetik dengan variasi kuat arus memberikan pengaruh pada temperatur Eutectic Phase Change Material. Temperatur titik beku Eutectic Phase Change Material mengalami kenaikan sesuai dengan pertambahan kuat arus disetiap kosentrasi Eutectic Phase Change Material yang digunakan. Hal ini terjadi karena adanya kalor yang dihasilkan oleh elektromagnetik, kalor terjadi karena energi yang dihasilkan oleh inti besi dan kumparan yang telah mengubah sebagian energi listrik yang dihasilkan menjadi energi panas.

Regarding the amount of energy consumption states "Air Conditioner is a component that contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. From a vertical building, 70% of energy consumption is contributed by Air Conditioners ". Likewise, with the absorption of electrical energy in passenger ships, almost 75% of electrical energy is used for the Air Conditioning system. A cooling system using Phase Change Eutectic saltwater type material influenced by magnetic fields is expected to be an alternative to refreshing and air conditioning systems so that it can provide solutions to energy savings and reduction of negative impacts for the survival of the surrounding environment. Simple experiments are expected to be able to support the data's needed to answer the purpose of this study. From the results of experimental studies showing that electromagnetic fields with strong currents variations influence the temperature of the Eutectic Phase Change Material The freezing point temperature of the Eutectic Phase Change Material has increased according to the increase in current strength of each Eutectic Phase Change Material concentration used. This occurs because of the heat produced by electromagnetic energy, heat occurs because of the energy produced by iron cores and coils that have transformed some of the electricity produced into heat energy.
