Abstract

Kapal penumpang KM. Labobar membutuhkan air bersih.

The passenger ship named KM. Labobar still needs fresh water. Fresh water will be available when the ship is leaning on the port, because at the time the ship was done filling of fresh water. If the fresh water in the passenger ship of KM. Labobar increases, the domestic grey water wastewater (non consumable) will be increase too. Basically, wastewater have to go through a treatment process to secure the future of such wastewater when discarded or during use. The advantage of this treatment is can reduce the impact of sea water pollution which can reduce the quality of sea water too. The existence of these probles must be recycled, recycle of water is a reprocessing of the grey water waste disposal system. So that treatment it can save the costs and save on refilling of fresh water in the ship. The topic in this thesis includes a wastewater treatment system specification, modifying the existing system and general arrangement in KM. Labobar, calculating the cost of processing sytem and analyzing economic feasibility if this grey water treatment system is applied in KM. Labobar. Based on data analysis, a treatment’s tank can be made as much as 2 tank at frames 70-75 and the treatment’s tank have a 100.758 m3 per day. After that there are 2 holding tank at frames 132-142. The holding tank capacity is a 14,4 m3 per tank. Economic analysis is also carried out using the Payback Period System. So that after being analyzed it will reach BEP (Break Event Point) in the second year.
